Bihar bandh: Roads blocked, tyres burnt in Patna during Railway job exam stir

Protesters blocked roads in Patna and burned tires on Friday in support of a band assembled by student-backed groups and political parties over alleged discrepancies in railway recruitment exams.

Several student organisations, including the leftist All India Students Association (AISA), have joined the band’s call to protest against alleged irregularities in the Railway Recruitment Board’s 2021 Non-Technical Popular Category (RRB-NTPC) exam.

At least four people have been arrested for vandalism amid reports of vandalism amid ongoing protests that began earlier this week, while several others, including teachers at prominent coaching institutions, were arrested for inciting and condoning violence .

Meanwhile, the state’s major coalition of opposition parties expressed support for the student-led band’s call, while several members of the ruling Nitish Kumar-led NDA government urged authorities to withdraw all complaints against protesters.

The instigators, who are mostly job-seekers for railway jobs, allegedly burned four empty carriages of a stationary train in Gaya on Wednesday and blocked rail traffic between Gaya and Jahanabad. Many of them are also involved in stopped trains such as Rajendra Nagar-New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani express, Sampoorna Kranti express, South Bihar Expres and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express to Mumbai.

Nearly five hours of protests were also held in Patna, Bagarpur and Sasalaam, Gaya, Bhojpur, Buksar, Muzaffarput and Samstipur districts on Tuesday and Wednesday Activity.

The Ministry of Railways has set up a committee to review protesters’ grievances. This comes a day after the ministry issued a bulletin on January 25, 2022, that “railway job seekers engaged in sabotage/illegal activities may face lifetime ban” from government jobs.

The actor revealed that there was a scene in the Ashuotsh Gowariker-directed movie when Saif, Rahul Roy, Aamir Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan made cameo appearances.

According to Deepak Tijori, Amrita Singh prevented Saif Ali Khan from endorsing his movie.

When asked if Bollywood performers were friendly at parties but did not promote one other’s films, he responded, “Yeah, I guess I could probably tell you a personal experience.” I am referring about 1993 here. We were working on a movie named Pehla Nasha back in 1993. Surprisingly, there was a moment in the movie when everyone wants celebrities to attend a character’s debut. We had buddies, and the director was Ashutosh Gowariker. Therefore, I was taken aback when this particular occurrence occurred.”

He went on, “It seems that Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Aamir Khan were on their way.” Thus, Saif was reading, and this was similar to his interpretation of it when he got ready at home. Amrita Singh, his former spouse, questioned him, “What are you doing?” To what destination are you heading? “I’m heading to a premiere,” he declared. I’m heading out to shoot. I’m going to be involved with Deepak’s debut. “Really?” was her question. In what way is this possible? You know, we never did all these things. Who takes this action? similar to when you go and help someone on a premiere. That was a moment, then, and I was shocked by it. Evidently, something didn’t truly exist back then (days).
