His application was opposed by the case investigator, who said the singer was supposed to show up at the police station on Jan. 25, but he did not show up and was told in an email that he could not do so. Investigators claim the singer did not cooperate with the investigation and may not remain in court if he was allowed to travel.

The court granted his application after Honey Singh assured the court that he was willing to submit speech samples. While the singer was allowed to travel to Dubai between January 29 and February 4, the court ordered him to appear at the police station between February 4 and 11.
