Moms-to-be can combine elegance and comfort by dressing like pregnant Alia Bhatt does in a kaftan
Actress Alia Bhatt is very busy as she gets ready for the release of her new movie, Darlings. The actress, who is expecting her and Ranbir Kapoor’s first child, is fervently promoting the movie. In the midst of this, she upgraded her wardrobe with chic and affordable pieces, winning over fans with her maternity style. The expecting mother has chosen eye-catching mini dresses, stylish powersuits, and stunning ethnic attire for the film’s promotions. Even her most recent choice, a velvet embellished kaftan dress, matches the star’s beauty. It demonstrates to new moms how to combine comfort and elegance with ease.
Alia posted images of herself on Instagram on Monday wearing a sea green velvet kaftan dress. The Darlings actor posted a photo of herself wearing the outfit along with the hashtags “4 DAYS TO DARLINGS” and “DarlingsOnNetflix.” Pregnancy fashion is all about looking stylish without sacrificing comfort, so her look is ideal for upcoming festivals or other occasions.
Regarding Alia’s outfit, the flowy silhouette of the kaftan dress gives it a carefree appearance. It has a sea green colour and a V neckline with a contrasting pink band. It also has a quirky grey pattern all over, long sleeves with flares decorated with pink gota patti and gold embroidery, side slits, and an ankle-length hemline.
To increase the elegance factor, Alia added oxidised silver jewellery to the kaftan dress. She chose bulky jhumkis and statement rings. Alia’s final glam picks included a delicate bindi, chic black eyeliner, mascara on the lashes, a glossy nude lip colour, a dewy base, blushed cheeks, center-parted open wavy hair, and an on-fleek eyebrow.
The actor from The Darlings’ glowing pregnancy was the icing on the cake.
Darlings is a black comedy that stars Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Vijay Varma. Jasmeet K. Reen is the film’s director, and Alia Bhatt is making her debut as a producer. The Netflix release date is set for August 5.

Jennifer Lopez has “let go of her ego” to prioritise her career and personal growth as she navigates her separation from Ben Affleck.
The 55-year-old actress and singer, during an interview with Amazon/MGM, opened up about working on the upcoming film Unstoppable, a project she co-starred in while estranged from her husband.
“It was an honour to be a part of Anthony [Robles] and to play Judy,” Jennifer shared. “I approached the role with a complete lack of ego where you have to go in there and have so much respect for the person you are playing because it’s her story.”
“I disappeared, there was no Jennifer, no J. Lo. That person on the screen is just Judy. Luckily, I got to spend time with her and see who she was alone and as a mother.”

Affleck praises Lopez’s ‘spectacular’ performance
Affleck and Matt Damon produced the film, which tells the inspiring story of 36-year-old wrestler Anthony Robles.
JLo portrays Judy Robles, Anthony’s mother. Affleck also highly praised Jennifer’s performance, calling her “spectacular.”
“Unstoppable is a very different movie than [Small Things Like These], but in a way it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists,” Ben told Entertainment Toninght just couple of weeks back. “Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel and Bobby Cannavale – all of whom were really passionate about this film.”
After reuniting and marrying in 2022, Jennifer filed for divorce in August 2024. Reports of marital struggles, including living separately, surfaced months before the filing.
“He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” an insider told InTouch Weekly. “Ben already moved out … They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her.”
