After his birth, Dia Mirza was not permitted to hold her son for two and a half months

In May 2021, Dia Mirza gave birth to a boy named Avyaan Azaad Rekhi. The actor recalled the birth, describing it as “life-threatening” for both the mother and the baby. Dia also discussed not being able to hold Avyaan after his birth in a recent interview. She claimed that because he was born prematurely and required surgery, she was unable to do so for two and a half months after his birth.

Dia wed Vaibhav Rekhi, a businessman from Mumbai, on February 15, 2021 in a small ceremony there. In July 2021, Dia announced the birth of her first child on Instagram, three months after announcing her pregnancy online.

The actor wrote a touching note beside a photo of her holding her newborn baby’s hand. An part from the message said, “Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Our tiny miracle was delivered early, and since then, the Neonatal ICU’s devoted nurses and physicians have been taking care of him/her.

Dia recently discussed the difficulties she faced as a new mother—who was not even permitted to hold her child—in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. Dia not only talked openly about the difficulties she encountered throughout her pregnancy and childbirth. It was incredibly difficult. As a result of my illness, I had to have appendix surgery in the fifth month of my pregnancy.

That must have caused a bacterial infection to spread throughout the body. The doctor told me to remove the baby because my placenta was haemorrhaging or I would have developed sepsis. The infant had to have surgery within 36 hours of delivery, and it was life-threatening for both of us. He had to have a second surgery three and a half months after his birth. Throughout that period, he was in the NICU. Even after he was born, two and a half months later, I was still not permitted to hold him, Dia recalled.

Avyaan’s birth condition was also disclosed by Dia, who said that he was “fragile” and that she could only see him “twice a week.” He was so little and delicate, and it was the Covid-19 era, so I had to abide by a tonne of additional rules and guidelines. Only twice a week were my visits with my infant permitted. So it was incredibly difficult, but I never lost hope that he would stick by me and struggle to live,” Dia added.

The last time we saw Dia was in Thappad, a movie by Anubhav Sinha. Taapsee Pannu played the lead in the movie. Soon, you may witness the actor in Tarun Dudeja’s Dhak Dhak. Sanjana Sanghi, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Fatima Sana Shaikh are also featured. Additionally, Dia and Anubhav will collaborate once more on the latter’s upcoming movie Bheed, set for release later this year.

Kangana Ranaut compares herself to Big B, saying, “After Amitabh Bachchan, if someone has received so much love…,” to which internet users respond, “best joke.”

Even though Kangana Ranaut has been receiving a lot of attention for her public talks, her comparison of herself to Amitabh Bachchan at a recent speech at an election rally has generated a lot of controversy online.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is well-known for her blunt remarks, is presently engaged in the Lok Sabha election campaign. She is a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Himachal Pradesh district of Mandi. Although her statements in public have garnered a lot of attention, her comparison of herself to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan in a recent speech at an electoral rally has sparked a lot of conversation online.

“Aisa lagta hai ki mano itna pyaar aur itna sammaan, ki wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mai West Bengal chali jau, chahe mai Delhi chali jau, chahe mai Manipur chali jau, sara desh hairaan hai… Meher daave se keh sakti hu ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisiko industri me milta hai to wo mujhe milta hai (The entire country is startled… there seems to be so much love and respect everywhere I go, whether it Rajasthan, West Bengal, Delhi, or Manipur). At the gathering, she declared, “I can state with confidence that, after Amitabh Bachchan, if anyone receives such love and respect in the industry, it is me.

Since then, the video of her statement has gone viral and sparked a range of emotions from online users. Despite her recent run of box office disappointments, many people have expressed sarcasm over her comparison to one of Bollywood’s most beloved legends. After releasing her final successful movie in 2015, Kangana has a string of 15 consecutive failures. As it shared the video on X (previously Twitter), a verified parody account said, “Here she is comparing herself to Amitabh Bachchan 😂😂.”

Another Twitterati said, “Judging by her speeches, Kangana Ranaut might be the first actress in the nation to get a national award for her role as an election candidate.”

It was called the “best joke of the year” by one user and the “peak level of self-obsession” by another.

“The next stage of self-obsession is this.” Following a string of poor performances, Kangana Ranaut equated herself to Amitabh Bachchan. According to a verified X account that supports the Congress, “Nobody has ever insulted Amit Ji like this before.”

In response, another Twitter user sent a photo of the headline of an old news story detailing Kangana’s 2022 action film Dhaakad’s poor box office performance—which ended up being a huge failure. The headline stated, “Dhaakad box office collection: Kangana Ranaut’s film sells 20 tickets and collects Rs 4420 on day 8.”
