Bhamini Oza wants husband Pratik Gandhi to relax: ‘He can’t sit idle, thinks time is wasted on holidays’

Actress Bhamini Oza claimed that her husband, actor Pratik Gandhi, detested idleness and even thought vacations were a waste of time. Bhamini, who is now starring alongside Abhishek Banerjee in the short film Vakeel Babu on Amazon Mini TV, spoke exclusively with Hindustan Times on the sensitive subject of domestic abuse.
The short film Vakeel Babu explores the social and legal barriers that women in our nation must overcome in order to seek justice when they are victims of domestic violence. Loveleen Mishra and Sumit Purohit both star in the short film.

Bhamini claimed that while she has not personally experienced any domestic violence, she is aware of the delicate nature with which the issue must be handled. “I wouldn’t say that I have specifically “witnessed” incidences of domestic abuse, but I am aware of the issue. I appreciate the sensitivity with which it must be handled. In my immediate social circles, I have not had (such) encounters. But thanks to newspapers and other media, we are all aware of how things work, particularly when it comes to the victim receiving legal support. There must be at least one significant source of familial support for the person to muster the guts.

A woman needs a lot of courage and fortitude, she said, not only to fight but also to speak up for justice. “In order to be and be happy, you must be powerful, realise what you need, and demand it. It is crucial that everyone work toward their own pleasure.

Bhamini has worked in a few films in addition to her more than ten years of theatre experience. When describing the art of storytelling, she remarked, “The fundamental is that storywriting has to be clear and concise. The lines must communicate the vision. Even while plays and movies or television series are very diverse forms of expression, the fundamental process is the same: it all begins with the writer.

She continued by expressing her enthusiasm for the fact that her projects allow her to play a wide variety of personalities. “I enjoy that there is no monotony in life.

Bhamini frequently complains to Pratik Gandhi, according to an earlier interview with Hindustan Times. When asked to list his annoying qualities, the actor responded, “I won’t say annoy me, but he is…he can’t remain idle. He simply wants to work; he is now developing a movie, TV show, or other project. When he is on vacation, he feels that time is being wasted. I believe he ought to unwind and simply be. When he works, I’m sure he relaxes (laughs).

In addition, she discussed her perspective on partnerships, stating that “people are together because they love each other. When they first met, their main goal was to spend the rest of their lives together. It (the relationship) is a procedure where you coexist and cooperate (to keep it thriving). Things cannot be planned. When you first get married, you could have certain beliefs, but years later, those beliefs may change. You must be sincere with both the other person’s and your own satisfaction.

Kangana Ranaut compares herself to Big B, saying, “After Amitabh Bachchan, if someone has received so much love…,” to which internet users respond, “best joke.”

Even though Kangana Ranaut has been receiving a lot of attention for her public talks, her comparison of herself to Amitabh Bachchan at a recent speech at an election rally has generated a lot of controversy online.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is well-known for her blunt remarks, is presently engaged in the Lok Sabha election campaign. She is a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Himachal Pradesh district of Mandi. Although her statements in public have garnered a lot of attention, her comparison of herself to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan in a recent speech at an electoral rally has sparked a lot of conversation online.

“Aisa lagta hai ki mano itna pyaar aur itna sammaan, ki wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mai West Bengal chali jau, chahe mai Delhi chali jau, chahe mai Manipur chali jau, sara desh hairaan hai… Meher daave se keh sakti hu ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisiko industri me milta hai to wo mujhe milta hai (The entire country is startled… there seems to be so much love and respect everywhere I go, whether it Rajasthan, West Bengal, Delhi, or Manipur). At the gathering, she declared, “I can state with confidence that, after Amitabh Bachchan, if anyone receives such love and respect in the industry, it is me.

Since then, the video of her statement has gone viral and sparked a range of emotions from online users. Despite her recent run of box office disappointments, many people have expressed sarcasm over her comparison to one of Bollywood’s most beloved legends. After releasing her final successful movie in 2015, Kangana has a string of 15 consecutive failures. As it shared the video on X (previously Twitter), a verified parody account said, “Here she is comparing herself to Amitabh Bachchan 😂😂.”

Another Twitterati said, “Judging by her speeches, Kangana Ranaut might be the first actress in the nation to get a national award for her role as an election candidate.”

It was called the “best joke of the year” by one user and the “peak level of self-obsession” by another.

“The next stage of self-obsession is this.” Following a string of poor performances, Kangana Ranaut equated herself to Amitabh Bachchan. According to a verified X account that supports the Congress, “Nobody has ever insulted Amit Ji like this before.”

In response, another Twitter user sent a photo of the headline of an old news story detailing Kangana’s 2022 action film Dhaakad’s poor box office performance—which ended up being a huge failure. The headline stated, “Dhaakad box office collection: Kangana Ranaut’s film sells 20 tickets and collects Rs 4420 on day 8.”

The seventh and final round of the current general elections is set to take place on June 1, with elections for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. Ram Swaroop Sharma of the BJP won the seat in 2019, however it was left empty after his death in 2021. Pratibha Singh of the Congress won the seat back in the ensuing by-election later that year.
