Vijay Deverakonda, brother Anand Deverakonda cheer for India in Hyderabad match as Sonu Sood looks on

On Sunday in Hyderabad, India defeated Australia in the third and final T20 game. Actor Vijay Deverakonda, most recently seen in Liger, was seen enjoying the cricket game from the audience. Anand Deverakonda, Vijay’s brother, also joined him. He performs as an actor in Telugu movies. On social media, a video of Vijay and Anand applauding the Indian squad has gone viral.

Sonu Sood, an actor, is also visible in the video standing next to Vijay and his brother Anand. The video of Vijay clapping as supporters took pictures of him in the crowded stadium was uploaded on one of his fan pages.

Liger, Vijay’s most recent film, failed to do well at the box office. Ananya Panday appeared in the Puri Jagannadh-directed movie as well. Hindi-speaking Karan Johar, the co-producer, had shown the movie. Vijay made his Bollywood debut with the movie. The Hindi version of Liger, which also stars Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy, was to be released by Karan Johar, and it was aggressively marketed as a pan-Indian movie.

Although Vijay spent three years working on the project, most critics called the movie “formulaic” and a “wasted chance” when it first came out. Liger struggled at the box office despite earning Rs. 25 crore on its first day globally.

It was revealed that Vijay and Puri will collaborate on another project called Jana Gana Mana before the release of Liger. Additionally disclosed was the movie’s August 2023 release date. The project has since been abandoned nevertheless. According to a source who spoke with Hindustan Times, the project has been cancelled. Samantha Ruth Prabhu co-stars in the Telugu love drama Kushi, in which Vijay is now busy filming. Shiva Nirvana is directing the picture.

Sonakshi Sinha admits on The Great Indian Kapil Show that, when given Alia and Kiara’s example, “mujhe zor se shaadi karni hai.”

Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal—the cast of Heeramandi—will be the show’s guests.

The female cast of Heeramandi, Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh will be featured in an upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. In a new trailer for the episode that Netflix India unveiled on Wednesday, Kapil was seen making fun of Sonakshi’s wedding preparations.

The Heeramandi cast was seen in the teaser queue for panipuri at the stand, where Kapil was the vendor. “Bhaiya, sab ke liye paanipuri (serve for everyone)!” Sonakshi begs. In response, Kapil states that none of them would be served since they are not the ones who will call him “brother” or “bhaiya.”

Richa required the most retakes overall.

Manisha Koirala claims in another scene that there was anxiety before every scene on the set. The cast is then questioned by Richa about how many retakes they had ever had. Sonakshi responds that she didn’t need more than 12 tries. Everyone is shocked to learn that Richa offered 99 retakes in her response. Kiku Sharda made an appearance in one episode dressed like a courtesan, and his antics made everyone laugh.

Sonakshi discussing her wedding arrangements

As this is happening, Kapil informs Sonakshi that Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani are now wed. “Jale pe namak chirak rahe ho,” is her response. He knows how much I want to be married, therefore you are adding salt to my wounds, woh janta hei mujhe kitne zor se shaadi karni he.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the director of Heeramandi, which debuted on Netflix on May 1. The show tells the tales of courtesans and their clients against the turbulent backdrop of the 1940s Indian freedom movement, exploring the cultural milieu of the vibrant Heeramandi region.

You can watch The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.
