Anil Kapoor tells children that they are making mistakes, but adds, “karni hai toh karo”

Anil Kapoor has discussed his relationship with his children Sonam Kapoor, Harsh Vardhan Kapoor, and Rhea Kapoor. Rhea is a film producer and stylist, while Sonam and Harsh are actors like their father. Anil Kapoor revealed in a new interview with Hindustan Times that while people advise him to give his son proper guidance, he prefers to let him make his own mistakes.

Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan has been seen in titles such as Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Mirzya and Ray. The father-son duo will be seen together again after AK vs AK in Netflix’s Thar. Anil: ‘I believe I should let my children do what they believe in’.

“I’ve never gone out to talk, speak, or ask my children, ‘Aisa karo, waisa karo.’ They’ve done it all themselves, including Rhea’s work as a producer. Occasionally, if I sense something is completely wrong, I will intervene and say, ‘Bohot badi galati kar rahe ho, magar karni hai toh karo, main kya kar sakta hu (you’re making a big mistake, but do it if you want to.) I’m not sure what I can do about it). ‘I’m not going to stand in your way.’ So I’m not one of those fathers who sits with a stick in his hand and gives gyaan (advice). In fact, the entire family is… very independent, with their own point of view and tastes in everything — films, for example.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
