Best deals on Apple, OnePlus, and other smartphones during the Amazon Prime Day 2022 sale

On July 23 and 24, the Amazon Prime Day 2022 deal will begin the next week. Amazon has disclosed some of the deals shoppers can expect to see on smartphones from various companies, including Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, iQOO, realme, and others, in advance of the sale. Additionally, Amazon has announced discounts on its own Kindle line of eReaders and Amazon Echo line of smart speakers. Check out the offers below.

Apple: Although these specific iPhone models have not yet been made public, Amazon has stated that consumers will receive discounts of up to Rs 20,000 on selected models. Additionally, Amazon has guaranteed fantastic discounts on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max variants.

Samsung: According to Amazon, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be discounted by up to 30%. The brand’s M-series phones will also be eligible for discounts, including Rs 15,000 off the Galaxy M52, Rs 8000 off the Galaxy M53 and M33, and Rs 5000 off the Galaxy M32. There will also be further reductions available, possibly with specific bank cards.

OnePlus: During the sale, the OnePlus 9 will be offered for Rs 37,999, while the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus 10 Pro will be offered with no-cost financing for up to 9 months. Additionally, there will be advantages of up to Rs 4000 on discounts and Rs 7000 on exchange.

With discounts from banks and coupons, the OnePlus 10R will be available for as little as Rs 34,999, with exchange discounts of up to an extra Rs 4,000. In the meantime, OnePlus will offer additional coupons for the Nord 2 CE Lite and will offer no-cost EMI and quick bank discounts for the Nord 2T and Nord CE 2.

Xiaomi: During the sale, Redmi 9-series smartphones will start at Rs 6,899 and include an additional bonus of Rs 600 with a voucher. The Redmi Note 10 series, which includes the Note 10T 5G, Note 10 Pro, Note 10 Pro Max, and Note 10S, will be offered with additional bank discounts beginning at Rs 10,999.

Realme: During the sale, the Realme Narzo 50-series, which consists of the Narzo 50 5G, Narzo 50 Pro, and Narzo 50A, will begin at Rs 11,499, and the company also promises supplemental perks like coupons and bank savings.

iQOO: During the sale, the iQOO Neo 6 will start at Rs 29,999 and be offered with a further bank discount of Rs 3,00. In the meanwhile, with coupons and bank discounts, the iQOO Z6 Pro will cost Rs 23,999, and the iQOO Z6 will cost Rs 14,999. The iQOO 9-series phones are also subject to certain discounts and promotions.

Other promotions and offerings
During the Prime Day 2022 Sale, Amazon has also guaranteed a variety of other discounts on items like headphones (beginning at Rs 149), power banks (starting at Rs 499), mobile cases and covers (starting at Rs 99), cables (starting at Rs 49), and chargers (starting at Rs 139).

Customers will be able to save up to 55% off on Amazon Echo smart speakers and smart displays during the sale, according to Amazon. The Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite Signature versions will be offered for Rs 11,099 and Rs 15,299, respectively, while Kindle eReaders will receive discounts of up to Rs 4,000.

India signs deal with US to procure 31 Predator drones

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approved the acquisition of 31 Predator drones last week.

India will procure 31 Predator drones from the US defense major, General Atomics, under a government-to-government framework, officials said on Tuesday.

The two countries today signed the much-anticipated deal.

The Indian Navy will get 15 Sea Guardian drones whereas the Indian Air Force and Army will receive eight Sky Guardian drones each, reported PTI.

Under the ₹32000 crore deal, a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility will also be launched in India, The deals were signed by both sides in the presence of senior officials, said defence officials.

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approved the acquisition of 31 Predator drones last week.

The American team of military and corporate officials are in India for the inking of these contracts.

Top Indian defence officials, including Joint Secretary and Acquisition Manager for the naval systems, were slated to be present during the signing ceremony.

India had been discussing the deal with the US for many years but the final hurdles were cleared a few weeks ago at the Defence Acquisition Council meeting.

What are Predator drones?

The MQ-9B ‘hunter-killer’ drones will crank up the surveillance apparatus of the armed forces, especially along the contested frontier with China.

In June last year, the Defence Ministry approved the procurement of the MQ-9B Predator armed drones from the US under a government-to-government framework.

The MQ-9B drone is a variant of the MQ-9 “Reaper” which was used to launch a modified version of the Hellfire missile that eliminated al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in the heart of Kabul in July 2022.

The high-altitude long-endurance drones are capable of remaining airborne for over 35 hours and can carry four Hellfire missiles and around 450 kgs of bombs.

The Sea Guardian drones are being procured as they can carry out a variety of roles including maritime surveillance, anti-submarine warfare and over-the-horizon targeting among others.

The high-altitude long-endurance drones are capable of remaining airborne for over 35 hours and can carry four Hellfire missiles and around 450 kgs of bombs.
