Channing Tatum stopped watching Marvel movies after Gambit was cancelled

Channing Tatum was ready to play superhero years ago. After the project was launched in 2016, the actor has signed on to make a solo film centered on the Marvel character Gambit. But ultimately, after Disney acquired the rights to the character, they decided to shelve the project, leaving the actor “traumatized.”

In a recent interaction, the GI Joe actor opened up about his disappointment at not being able to play a superhero. He even revealed that after his Gambit movie was shelved, he stayed away from all Marvel movies because he couldn’t bear to watch it.

In an interview with Variety, Channing said: “After Gambit left, I was terribly traumatized. I turned off the Marvel Machines. I didn’t get to see any movies. I loved that character. So sad. It was like losing A friend because I’m ready to play him.”

The actor recalled that when the plug on the project was pulled, he was ready to start filming. “We’re on the yard line,” he said. “We’ve already picked the film. We’ve opened a production office. We’re getting ready to shoot in New Orleans. Disney just got the X-Men (Gambit is X-Men) part of the Cop universe) from Fox. I think they need to redesign the X-Men from the ground up,” he said. However, even one day, the actor’s desire to play the role is just an optimistic wish.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
