Delhi Traffic Police releases advisory for Republic Day: Parade route and roads to avoid

Republic Day will be held on January 26, 2022. The parade will begin at 10:20 a.m. and depart from Vijay Chowk to the Red Fort Grounds.

There will be detailed traffic arrangements and restrictions along the parade route to ensure the parade runs smoothly.
Parade route/desktop:

(A) Parade route:

Vijay Chowk-Rajpath-Amar Jawan Jyoti-India Gate-R/A Princess Palace-T/L Tilak Marg-Turn Right “C” Hexagon-Turn Left Enter National Stadium through Gate 1.

(B) Screen route:

Vijay Chowk-Rajpath-Amar JawanJyoti-India Gate-R/A Princess Palace-T/L Tilak Marg-Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg-Netaji Subhash Marg-Red Fort.

traffic restrictions

In order to facilitate the smooth passage of the Grand Parade, some roads leading to the Grand Parade route will be restricted as follows:-

(1). There will be no traffic from Vijay Chowk to Rajpath at India Gate from 25 January 2022 at 6pm until the end of the parade.
(2). Rajpath from 25 January 2022 at 11pm at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road until the end of the parade.

(3). The ‘C’-Hexagon-India Gate will be closed on 26th January 2022 at 2am until the parade through Tilak Marg.

(4). Two-way traffic will not be allowed in Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg and Subhash Marg from 04:00 on 26 January 2022. Cross-traffic is only allowed based on the movement of the parade.

Road users are asked to plan their trips accordingly and avoid the parade route from 0200 to 1230 for their own convenience.

Adipurush featuring Kriti Sanon and Sita Navami unveiled new posters showcasing her as Janaki. The producers of Adipurush unveiled a new motion poster featuring Kriti Sanon, inspired by Sita from the Hindu mythology text Ramayana. The poster is a beige saree with a saffron dupatta covering her head, and features Prabhas as the main theme. It was unveiled on Ram Navami. Kriti and Janaki are reunited and the song Jai Siya Ram is heard in the background. The makers have revealed new posters on Ram Navami, showing the moral courage of their son.

Reacting to a new poster, a fan wrote “Mam What should I say Jai Mata Sita or Jai mata kriti?” and someone commented on the best poster until then.
