The Ahmed Nagar region of Maharashtra has issued a “no vaccine, no entry” order due to the increasing number of Omicron virus variant cases in the state.

The order was issued by collector Rajendra Bhosale and will take effect on Saturday.

Those who have not been vaccinated against the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) will not be allowed to enter various public places, including private places, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, cinemas, auditoriums, marriage halls, government or semi-government offices. ANI News Agency.

An official told the news agency PTI that under the order, people visiting these places must have at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and comply with Covid-19 appropriate behavior.

Prior to this, the Nashik district government implemented the “no vaccination, no entry” order, prohibiting people who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus disease from entering commercial and public places, such as shopping malls, movie theaters, restaurants, government, and public places. . office.

To date, Maharashtra has detected 108 cases of Omicron variants in the state, prompting the state government to ban gatherings of more than 5 people in public places between 9pm and 6am, and take other measures from December night starts 24-25.

Maharashtra reported 1,410 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, bringing the state’s total to 66,54,755. In the same time period, as many as 868 people recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the state to 65,01,243.
