Instagram says issue now fixed after second outage in a week
Instagram, a social networking platform for photo and video sharing, said on Friday (local time) that the reported global power outage has been fixed and everything should now return to normal.
“The matter has been resolved and everything should be back to normal now. Thank you for your tolerance (and all the memes this week),” Instagram said in a tweet. Social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp faced disruption for the second time this week.
Downdetector is a website that monitors the entire Internet outage reports, and it says that these application outages are reported for some global users. Social media giant Facebook said that it has been aware of reports that users cannot access its apps and products, and is working to restore services during the second outage of the platform this week. The company said on Twitter: “We know that some people have problems accessing our apps and products.
We are working hard to get things back to normal as soon as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused to you.” Instagram said on Twitter: “We know that some of you may have some problems with Instagram right now. We are sorry and we are working on it as soon as possible.” At the same time, after the social media platform suffered a global disruption, #instadown became popular on Twitter. Netizens shared their views on the second global blackout this week on Twitter. One netizen wrote: “Not only did it go down again, but my account was hacked this week. I can’t seem to get any help to restore it.” And another wrote: “Yes, what’s the reason? Your server had a severe downtime of 6-7 hours in the last two days, so why did it come again today?
Did you not solve the problem correctly?” According to Downdetector, a website that monitors the entire Internet outage report stated that 33,461 people have submitted an outage report on Instagram. And 2,214 complaints were reported on Facebook.

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.
The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.
Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.
It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
