iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro Specifications Tipped Ahead of the Official Launch
The Indian smartphone market is scheduled to launch several products this month, including one from Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO. The iQOO 9 series of smartphones, which debuted in China on January 5, will soon land in India. The specifications of the Indian version may differ slightly from the Chinese version. Ahead of the official launch, two tipsters have already hinted at the specifications of the iQOO 9 series. There are two smartphones in the series – iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro, both of which are expected to ship with Android 12.
According to a tweet by well-known tipster Utsav Techie, the Indian variant of the iQOO 9 smartphone will feature a 6.56-inch AMOLED 10-bit display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 888+ processor along with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
For cameras, the iQOO 9 will feature a 48MP primary sensor. Its triple camera setup will also include a 13MP camera with a 50mm focal length. The tipster did not provide information about the device’s front-facing camera. The iQOO phone will support 120W charging.
Another tweet by Twitter Yogesh Brar mentioned that the higher version of the iQOO 9 series, the iQOO 9 Pro, will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC will power the device, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. According to whistleblower Brar, the iQoo 9 Pro smartphone will come in two RAM and storage configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. The device may feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Similar to its non-Pro version, this iQOO smartphone will include a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a telephoto sensor, and an ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, iQOO Pro can come with a 16MP shooter. The smartphone is expected to have a 4,700mAh battery with 120W charging support.
Considering the Chinese version, the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro phones may be expensive.
