In advance of its debut event on August 3, the OnePlus 10T 5G has been leaked. These leaks provide complete gadget information and renders of the OnePlus smartphone’s appearance. The OnePlus 10T 5G has already leaked, and the manufacturer has confirmed that the device will not include the alert slider or a camera module bearing the Hasselblad logo. The alert slider and the Hasselblad branding on the camera module are missing in these most recent high-resolution renders. In case you forgot, the business previously unveiled renders of the phone.

According to the leaked specifications, the OnePlus 10T 5G will have a 6.7-inch screen with full-HD+ resolution, which has already been confirmed by the manufacturer. The panel is HDR10+ compatible and supports 10-bit colours. Additionally, it has a flat display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. There is a hole punched in the display that holds a 16-megapixel selfie camera with EIS.

The Jade Green and Moonstone Black colour finishes that are reportedly available on the OnePlus 10T 5G in India are also shown in the OnePlus 10T 5G renderings. A 50-megapixel IMX 766 main camera with OIS is rumoured to be housed in the square-shaped camera module at the back, which the company has also verified. According to reports, the secondary camera has a 2-megapixel macro camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with a 120-degree field of vision. It’s anticipated that Android 12 with OxygenOS 12 will launch with the OnePlus 10T 5G.

The OnePlus 10T 5G is expected to be among the first smartphones to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, according to earlier rumours. According to rumours, the phone will come in versions that support up to 16GB of RAM. Only the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage and the 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage models, though, are anticipated to go on sale in India. According to reports, the 4,800mAh battery in the OnePlus 10T 5G supports 150W rapid charging.

On August 6th, the OnePlus 10T 5G is anticipated to go on sale through Amazon and the company’s own website in India at a rumoured price of Rs 49,999.

India signs deal with US to procure 31 Predator drones

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approved the acquisition of 31 Predator drones last week.

India will procure 31 Predator drones from the US defense major, General Atomics, under a government-to-government framework, officials said on Tuesday.

The two countries today signed the much-anticipated deal.

The Indian Navy will get 15 Sea Guardian drones whereas the Indian Air Force and Army will receive eight Sky Guardian drones each, reported PTI.

Under the ₹32000 crore deal, a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility will also be launched in India, The deals were signed by both sides in the presence of senior officials, said defence officials.

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approved the acquisition of 31 Predator drones last week.

The American team of military and corporate officials are in India for the inking of these contracts.

Top Indian defence officials, including Joint Secretary and Acquisition Manager for the naval systems, were slated to be present during the signing ceremony.

India had been discussing the deal with the US for many years but the final hurdles were cleared a few weeks ago at the Defence Acquisition Council meeting.

What are Predator drones?

The MQ-9B ‘hunter-killer’ drones will crank up the surveillance apparatus of the armed forces, especially along the contested frontier with China.

In June last year, the Defence Ministry approved the procurement of the MQ-9B Predator armed drones from the US under a government-to-government framework.

The MQ-9B drone is a variant of the MQ-9 “Reaper” which was used to launch a modified version of the Hellfire missile that eliminated al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in the heart of Kabul in July 2022.

The high-altitude long-endurance drones are capable of remaining airborne for over 35 hours and can carry four Hellfire missiles and around 450 kgs of bombs.

The Sea Guardian drones are being procured as they can carry out a variety of roles including maritime surveillance, anti-submarine warfare and over-the-horizon targeting among others.
