Kirron Kher turns Basanti as she joins Dharmendra to recreate Sholay scene

When Dharmendra visits any reality show set, he always amazes his fans. The veteran actor made a cameo on India’s Got Talent, where he recreated a scene from his blockbuster Sholay starring Kirron Kher, who followed in the footsteps of his co-star Hema Malini.

Sony shared a promo for the show, which features Kirron Kher as one of the judges along with Shilpa Shetty, Badshah and Manoj Muntashir. The promo features Dharmendra in a blue suit and hat, and Kirron Kher in a red sari reenacting the Sholay scene on stage.

When Dharmendra plays Veeru and Kirron becomes Kher Basanti, she is seen aiming a pistol with Dharmendra standing behind her guiding her. He put his hand on her shoulder and told her to close her eyes and aim. She asked him, “Yuki dono aankhein band karke nishana kaise lagaungi (but how should I aim with my eyes closed)?” Dharmendra put a hand over one of her eyes and asked her to aim, but Kirron Kher blushed. She ended up firing a shot and Dharmendra complimented her performance by patting her on the cheek.

Looking at the two of them, Shilpa Shetty burst out laughing, holding up a chair for support. Badhshah also cheered and laughed for them, and bowed to them in respect.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
