Pankaj Kapur, an actor and filmmaker, celebrated his birthday on Sunday. Shahid Kapoor, his son, and Mira Rajput, his wife, took to Instagram to wish him a happy birthday. They showed him photos from his daughter Sanah Kapur’s wedding reception in March of this year.

Shahid wrote on his Instagram Stories, “Happy birthday dad,” with a photo of him twinning with him in a black achkan and churidaar and yellow pagri.

Shahid and Pankaj were recently seen in Shahid’s latest film, Jersey. Pankaj played his coach in the film, while Shahid played a cricketer. “Roles like Arjun and Kabir are so challenging, and there’s pressure of not letting the original film down,” Shahid had told Indianexpress.com about working with his father. There’s also your father to consider. So there was a lot to take care of. However, having him in all of those scenes was extremely beneficial. As an actor, you end up giving it your all. It’s always a pleasure to study under him.”

Jersey, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, follows Arjun (Shahid Kapoor), a failed cricketer who decides to pursue his dream of representing Team India for the sake of his son’s happiness. Mrunal Thakur also appeared in the film, which is a Hindi remake of a Telugu film with the same title. The film, on the other hand, did not do well at the box office and is now available on Netflix.
