Trailer for Laal Singh Chaddha, a film starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor that will take you on a soulful journey

The trailer for Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, has been released, and the wait is finally over. The film is a Hindi adaptation of the hit Hollywood film Forrest Gump, directed by Advait Chandan. During the first innings of the IPL 2022 final, the trailer was released. In the trailer, Aamir plays Laal, a special-needs child, and Mona Singh plays his mother, who will go to any length to ensure that her son is treated fairly by society.

As the trailer progresses, we see an adult Laal (Aamir) running without the use of leg braces. He then joins the Indian Army, where he meets and befriends Naga Chaitanya’s character while also serving his country.

Aamir and Kareena Kapoor’s romance is also depicted in the trailer, which is followed by heartbreak. He wants to marry Vimmy (Kareena), but she says “humara kuch nahi hosakta” to him.

Aamir is seen with a full beard and a turban near the end of the trailer. “Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates,” Tom Hanks says, as he did in Forrest Gump. “Maa kehti thi zindagi golgappe ki tarah hoti hai, pet bhale bharjawe, maan nahi bharta,” Laal says.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
