Punjab: Road Safety Week Will Be Celebrated From 11 To 17 January

The Punjab Government has decided to observe the Road Safety Week from 11 to 17 January 2020, following the instructions of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.

Giving this information, a spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that all the Deputy Commissioners should celebrate Road Safety Week and during this week all the related agencies like Police, Health, Information and Publicity, Education, PWD. Instructions have been issued to make the incorporation of B&R and NGOs convincing.

He said that various programs and functions would be organized at the district level during this week including roadshows, marches by students, painting competitions, driver’s eye checkups, seminars by NGOs and F.M. Contains short messages, etc. via radios. The spokesman further said that it is a matter of grave concern that every year more than 1.50 lakh people die of road accidents in India and many others suffer serious injuries. This causes heavy financial tightness and emotional shock for the affected families. He informed that Road Safety Week is celebrated every year in all the states of India so that all stakeholders can be made aware of the road’s safe traffic.

Kangana Ranaut has denied speculations about joining politics solely due to the box office failure of her films.

Kangana Ranaut, the BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi for the 2024 elections, expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her political entrance. In an interview with Times Now, she questioned whether she joined politics due to her movies’ poor box office performance, comparing it to Shah Rukh Khan’s previous unsuccessful films.

Kangana responded to a question about her career, stating that she has never had a flop. She compared Shah Rukh Khan’s films to Pathaan, Queen, and Manikarnika, noting that if she had a flop in Emergency, it would be a big hit. Kangana compared her career to Shah Rukh Khan, who had consecutive flops for ten years. She also mentioned that she had not had a single hit for 7-8 years before Queen, but after that, she had a few good movies.

The last generation of stars, known for their talent and demand, are now able to showcase their talents more through OTT.
