According to reports, Taika Waititi, a director best known for his work on the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Thor Ragnarok and Thor Love and Thunder, and singer-songwriter Rita Ora, have become husband and wife. Following their appearances together at events last year, the two initially sparked romance rumours.

E! News has officially confirmed the couple’s marriage. Most information about their secret wedding is unknown. Rita shared a photo of Taika and them cuddling in April 2021, which was the first time anyone had seen them together. “Happy memories and sporadic items on my phone. and my beloved ones.” At the time, Rita had captioned a collection of images, one of which showed Taika with his arms.

But it wasn’t until August that the two made their relationship public by walking the red carpet together at the Los Angeles premiere of Suicide Squad 2. A subsequent appearance at the Met Gal in September and the Marvel’s Eternals premiere in October followed. Rita was specifically mentioned by Taika in his social media post following the Eternals premiere.


He wrote, “I felt like I got a lot of attention at the #Eternals premiere last night,” alongside a photo of her on Instagram. Perhaps it was my date—which it was—or perhaps it was this sick @thombrowne suit—which it was—it was my date. No one will likely ever know, I guess.

However, despite the PDA on social media, the couple kept their relationship a secret from the media. When asked about their relationship in September 2021, Rita reportedly responded, “I’m in a great place in my life. That’s all I have to say on the subject.

Taika Waititi, a New Zealander, has directed critically acclaimed movies like Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Jojo Rabbit in addition to his MCU blockbusters. In the latter, he also played a fictional Adolf Hitler. Taika previously wed Chelsea Winstanley in 2011, and they were married for four years. Te Kainga o te Hinekahu and Matewa Kiritapu are their two daughters.

Rita, whose parents were Albanian and she was born in what was then Yugoslavia, rose to fame in 2012 with the song Hot Right Now. Since then, she has created two studio albums and numerous singles, many of which have achieved chart-topping success.

At the age of 88, Louise Fletcher passed away. The Oscar-winning actress passed away at her home in Montdurausse, France, of natural causes, her family announced in a report. She is best recognised for her role as Nurse Ratched in the 1975 Jack Nicholson and Milos Forman film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. She had already won the 1976 Academy Award for best actress in a leading role for it.

Over the course of her acting career, Louise appeared in various television shows and motion pictures. In Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, she played the Bajoran cleric Kai Winn Adami in a recurrent role. She was also well-known for her parts in Joan of Arcadia and Picket Fences. According to a source, Louise passed away in her sleep in the house she converted from a 300-year-old farmhouse while surrounded by her family.

Deadline announced Louise’s passing. Her family did not give a reason for her passing, but according to her agent David Shaul, on September 23 she told them about her cherished home: “I can’t believe I constructed something so essential to my well-being.”

Louise was born to deaf parents on July 22, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama, in the United States. Louise started her acting career in the late 1950s with TV shows like 77 Sunset Strip, Lawman, Bat Masterson, Maverick, and The Untouchables.

Louise became became the third woman to get an Oscar, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe for the same performance with her Oscar victory. She spoke in sign language during her acceptance speech for the Academy Award, according to Deadline, making it one of Oscar’s most enduring moments.

Jerry Bick, a movie producer, and Louise were wed from 1959 until their divorce in 1977. Her sons John and Andrew Bick, granddaughter Emilee Kaya Bick, sister Roberta Ray, brother-in-law Edward Ray, and ten nieces and nephews are all still alive, according to Deadline.
