Saira Banu says Dilip Kumar’s death has left her “extremely distressed”: ‘I desperately need Sahab in my life.’

Saira Banu is ‘extremely distressed’ after the death of her husband, Dilip Kumar. She said that she can’t get out of the loss and needs Dilip ‘desperately’ in her life. Saira doesn’t want to step out of home.

Dilip Kumar died on July 7 last year at the age of 98, after a long ailment. Several Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan visited his house to pay their respects.

In an interview with the Times of India, Saira said, “I’m in a lot of pain and can’t seem to get out of it. How am I going to get out of this? I’m afraid I won’t be able to. And I was having a great time doing everything. Everything was perfect with just the two of us. I enjoyed spending time with Sahab at home. Anyway, I’m not a social butterfly or a party animal. I don’t want to leave the house today. I’m not sure, maybe until I’m not in such a bad mood. There’s no point in going outside when…” When pressed, Saira stated that she ‘desperately needs Sahab in my life.’

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
