Siddhant once landed at fake audition for Josh 2: ‘Stood in line all day’

Siddhant Chaturvedi may have had a solid career following the success of Gully Boy and now Gehraiyaan, but there was a time when the actor, like many other struggling actors, had his usual auditions in Mumbai. In fact, he landed once and faked auditions all day.

In a recent interaction with his Gehraiyaan co-stars – Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa and director Shakun Batra, Siddhant revealed that he once spent a whole day in fake auditions for what is allegedly Shah Rukh Khan 2000 Hot sequel to the show

In a recent interview with Cyrus Broacha for his YouTube channel Cyrus Says, Siddhant shared, “I auditioned for Eagle Gang’s Josh 2nd.” When the other cast members were amused, the actor explained, “That was about four years ago. There was a lot of people in line and I asked them what was going on. They said it was an audition for Josh 2 and they were looking for a new leader of the Bhikkhu gang or something. I was in line all day. It was not my turn. “

The actor then added that when he returned to the set the next morning, he found out that it was all fake. “I was the first to go there the next day,” he said, adding, “There was no one there and it was closed. I asked when it was open and they said it was all wrong. Josh 2 ban hi nahi rahi (Josh 2 didn’t finish).”

Josh, starring Shah Rukh, Aishwarya Rai, Chandrachur Singh and Sharad Kapoor, was a box office hit. The film, loosely based on the Hollywood musical West Side Story, was one of the highest-grossing films of 2000. However, a sequel was never officially announced.

Siddhant was last seen on the screen of the recently released Gehraiyaan. The actor will next appear in Phone Bhoot with Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter, and Yudhra with Malavika Mohanan.

Rajkummar discussing his preparation for the part

In a recent interview with the news organisation ANI, Rajkummar discussed his preparation for the position. He has stated, “Because I have never portrayed a visually challenged part before, preparation was necessary for this project. That’s how it all began when I enrolled at blind school. In real life, I began dealing with many people who were visually challenged. I spoke with them as I sat with them for hours. I used to record videos and view them frequently. only to comprehend their viewpoint, their emotions, and their approach to various circumstances. Since I’m portraying Srikanth’s life on television, I spent a lot of time with him. I thus learned a lot from him and applied it in my work.”
