The Google Pixel 6a is set to launch in the next days: Here’s what we’ve learned so far

In a few days, Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 6a. The company is gearing up for its annual Google I/O conference, which will take place on May 11th. Google could debut its first Pixel Watch at the event. The company is also expected to release the Pixel 6a, which was recently spotted on the FCC certification site in four different models. This suggests that the Pixel A series phone’s next generation is on the way.

The device was supposed to launch in India in July, but it never happened. In a few days, we might finally get to see the Pixel 6a smartphone. It’s still unclear whether the device will make it to market.

The Google Pixel 6a is expected to have a similar design to the Pixel 6 series. It is said to have a flat display with a punch-hole design, similar to what we see on most smartphones nowadays. This one might have a glass back. It’s unclear whether Google will remove or keep the 3.5mm headphone jack from this phone. Because the Pixel 5a has an audio jack, the new one may as well. According to rumours and leaks, the Pixel 6a will be powered by the same tensor chip that powers the Pixel 6 smartphones.

The Google Pixel 6a could arrive with a typical 6.2-inch OLED display that will likely run Full HD+ resolution. The panel is expected to have support for 90Hz refresh rate for smoother transitions. It will likely ship with the latest Android 12 out of the box. For photography, we could see a dual rear camera setup, including a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor and an ultra-wide-angle camera.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.

The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.

Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.

It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
