WhatsApp Collections Feature Arrives for Business Users, New Control Bar in PiP Mode Spotted

According to reports, WhatsApp is launching a “Collections” function for all WhatsApp Business users. This will enable companies to better organize their catalogs and group projects. It is said that the new collection feature will be launched to users all over the world today. As mentioned earlier, this feature is only available for corporate accounts, and personal accounts will not see any changes in the app. In addition, WhatsApp is also testing a new control bar that allows users to easily pause and resume videos in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode.

It is said that instant messaging applications are launching new favorites tabs for all corporate users around the world. Users will be able to create “collections” to organize the items in their catalog. You can find this option by clicking on the three dots icon located in the upper right corner of your business account, and then going to Business Tools> Catalog> Add New Collection. WhatsApp Business users can choose a name for each collection.

After confirming the launch, WhatsApp told TechCrunch, “We want to make WhatsApp the best way for people to buy goods and services and for businesses to connect with customers. That’s why we want to make it easier for people to see what businesses offer on WhatsApp.”

In addition to the favorites function, WhatsApp also released Android beta 2.21.22.3 for testers. WABetaInfo stated that the update brings a new control bar for picture-in-picture video. The tracker reports that the control bar will allow users to quickly pause/resume video or turn on/off full screen mode. The current control bar on WhatsApp is only available for videos shared from a specific platform, but WhatsApp is reportedly now able to support all videos. Recall that the picture-in-picture mode on WhatsApp only supports Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, ShareChat and Streamable content. For YouTube videos, WhatsApp provides two additional options in full screen mode: “Watch Later” and “Share”.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.

The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.

Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.

It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
