Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G review: One fine experience

Xiaomi 11 Lite NE has not changed the core design provided by its 4G counterparts. Therefore, apart from the Diamond Dazzle color and the 5G small logo, there is no difference between the two phones.

The weight of 158 grams brings it closer to the weight category of the iPhone 13, making it one of the lightest smartphones you can buy today. Lightness does not affect build quality. The rear is glass instead of plastic, and the matte paint helps to hide stains. The back of the Diamond Dazzle variant is shiny and looks beautiful, but the pink variant compliments the design better.

The cute round camera hump and the almost borderless display give Xiaomi 11 Lite NE a unique identity among its boring-looking competitors. Despite the slim body, you can get stereo speaker setup and USB-C port. There is no headphone jack, but Xiaomi has a dongle bundled in the box. A flexible plastic case and charger are also part of the box. The rights that Xiaomi brags about here come from its support for Netflix’s Dolby Vision format.

Unfortunately, due to no subscription, I can’t witness this, but overall the display quality is the best in its class. You will get a typical high-contrast AMOLED appearance and eye-popping colors, on the 6.5-inch display, it brings a pleasant viewing experience. The slim bezel and tiny camera cutout also contribute to the sense of immersion. Similar to the 4G version, the refresh rate of Mi 11 Lite NE 5G is limited to 90Hz.

It looks pretty smooth, but competitors offer a faster 120Hz display, which is perceptible. Despite the Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a plastic screen protector is pre-installed; considering that rival brands are reducing boxed items, this is a good choice. With the helm of the Snapdragon 778G chip, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE is definitely a fast mobile phone.

Despite the thick skin of MIUI 12.5, this phone has never been out of breath even in the most demanding circumstances. Whether I browse Instagram for a few hours or browse emails while playing music in the background, my phone can handle it all happily. Compared with the old version, the performance improvement of MIUI 12.5 is obvious; smooth animations, eager application loading, and keeping applications well in memory-the optimization is impressive.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.

The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.

Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.

It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
