Madhuri Dixit’s line from The Fame Game roasting privileged ‘young stars’ is a hit: ‘Apply some ice on burnt areas’

Fans of the web series Game of Fame reacted to a scene in which Madhuri Dixit’s character, actress Anamika Anand, mocked a young actor asking for her blessing, pointing out their age difference. In the above scene, Madhuri is greeted at an event by actress Jaslyn, played by Pooja Bhamrrah, who is full of praise for her. She said she was a huge Anamika fan and grew up watching her films. Then, she took Madhuri’s hand and put it on her head, begging her to bless her, while the paparazzi standing outside gasped.

At first, Madhuri Dixit looked shocked but then laughed and said, “You don’t need my blessings really. You young stars these days have PR, stylists, trainers, you have everything. Actually, you don’t even need talent, let alone my blessings.” This led to Pooja’s character Jaslyn smiling nervously as she was left embarrassed.

A screenshot of the scene was shared on Reddit with the caption “Put some ice on the burnt place!” In response, one wrote, “Madhuri is spreading the truth.” Another said, “Madhuri would love this scene and conversational.” “I’m enjoying the whole conversation between them. A lot of truth has been told in this series so far,” said one fan.

“And this series is from Bodhidharma…” said another. “It’s ironic that Karan (Johar) made this,” commented one. “Karan likes to play both sides and he ended up having the last laugh,” one person wrote. “Madhuri woke up and chose violence,” another posted.

One fan wrote: “Wow wow wow (wow) standing ovation for Madhuri and the author.” Madhuri is the last queen! I am sorry. Uske baad sab dies temporarily (all temporary after her). Sri (Sridevi), Madhuri are different,” one wrote. “Madhuri Mama: I’m ending these kids’ entire careers! “The game of fame is like Bollywood trolling itself,” said one fan. I love how the writers use their creative freedom to shoot on Bollywood movies without their LMAO name,” commented one.

The Hindustan Times commented: “Through eight 45-minute episodes, we get tropes already associated with celebrity lives: extramarital affairs, stalkers, financial problems, family problems, troubled childhoods, works. But all of this All perfected in an extremely riveting script by Sri Rao and co-writers Shreya Bhattacharya, Akshat Ghildial, Amita Vyas and Nisha Mehta, directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli from their superstar leadership and an interesting cast of actors around them.”

Game of Fame is directed by filmmakers Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli, with Hindi dialogue written by Amita Vyas, Akshat Ghildial and Shreya Bhattacharya. The series, currently on Netflix, also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Mulay and Muskkaan Jaferi.
