On Dance Deewane Juniors, Neetu Kapoor opens up about the late Rishi Kapoor. ‘Roz koi unki yaad dila deta hai,’ says the narrator
Deewane Juniors judge Neetu Kapoor will be seen getting emotional and in tears as she remembers her late husband actor Rishi Kapoor. Rishi died in 2020 after battling with cancer.
Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2018 and went to New York for treatment. After a long battle with the illness, he died in April 2020, at the age of 67. Neetu and Rishi married in 1980 and have two kids–Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor.
Deewane Juniors contestant Neetu’s grandmother talks about her family’s connection with Rishi. She says her husband met Rishi ji in 1974 and he would always talk about him. As she then goes on to sing Reshma’s popular badi Lambi Judaai, she is seen getting emotional and choking up.
Soon after, Neetu returns to the judge’s chair and discusses how so many people tell stories about Rishi that she always feels connected to him. “Rishi ji is not here,” she says, “but I meet someone every day who reminds me of him.” Everybody has a story to tell about him. He’s still connected to me in some way, somewhere.”
Neetu is returning to the small screen as a judge on Dance Deewane Juniors, a children’s dance reality show. A tribute to Rishi Kapoor will be featured in the upcoming episode.
For the first time in nearly a decade, Neetu will also be seen on screen soon. She is starring in Jug Jugg Jeeyo, which also features Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Anil Kapoor. Neetu was last on screen in the 2013 film Besharam, where she co-starred with Rishi and Ranbir.
Ekta Kapoor, a producer, wears multiple hats. In addition to producing material for OTT, TV (Balaji Telefilms), and film (Balaji Motion Pictures), she is a mother. Here are four facts we know about her, despite contradictory allegations that she is expecting a second child.
Is Ekta planning a second child?
An source disclosed to Bollywood Life in a since-deleted story that Ekta is arranging for a surrogate to carry another child. Ravie Kapoor, Ekta’s five-year-old son, needs a sibling because she has experienced that life herself. She has the strongest sibling connection with Tusshar Kapoor, and they always have each other’s backs. Additionally, the insider revealed that Ekta has considered having another child soon since she believes Ravie, her older son, shouldn’t experience the void that comes with sibling bonding.

But according to a recent Times of India story, a second person close to Ekta denied the claims. Spreading misleading information in an exclusive story solely to get traffic is wrong. Journalists should respectfully confirm details with the team before posting. People coming up with this news is so ridiculous and hilarious, they said.
Ekta’s initial child
Ravie Kapoor, a son, was Ekta’s first child, and she revealed this information in 2019. It’s interesting to note that her son has the name of Jeetendra, the seasoned actor and producer whose true name is Ravi Kapoor, as well as Ekta’s father. Ravie just had a lavish fifth birthday celebration, hosted by Ekta in January.
The son of Tusshar
In addition to Ekta, actor Tusshar Kapoor, who is her brother, also conceived his son through surrogacy. Using the same surrogate route as Ekta, Tusshar welcomed Lakshya into the world in the same year.
Regarding her career, Ekta is pleased with Crew, the heist comedy directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon. Crew brought in over ₹75 crore at the domestic box office. She also just had another movie launched in theatres, LSD 2: Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 by Dibakar Banerjee. Among her future films is The Sabarmati Report, which features Vikrant Massey.
