Which Oil Is Good For Newborn Baby Massage?

Massage is the most essential thing for a newborn baby. This will not only make him relax but also makes him strong. 

The NHS says that parents do not use any oils or lotions until their baby is one month old. This is because, at birth, the top layer of a baby’s skin is very thin and easily damaged.

But there is more myth or believes that babies need a light massage after 10 days of delivery. This will make the child stronger and calmer.

Here is a list of oils you can use for baby massage:

Mustard oil

This oil is used for a very long time by our grandmothers to massage babies. But recent studies show that due to the mixing of chemical in the oils. This oil will harm the skin of the baby. If possible use pure mustard oil. Or consult with your doctor.

It is not recommended for all baby’s massage because of its thickness and chemical. But if you find an original olive oil then this is the most trusted oil for baby massage.

Coconut Oil

This oil makes the skin soft and it doesn’t have any side effect on the baby’s skin. If your baby has dry skin then use cold compressed coconut oil.
