Amitabh Bachchan reveals that the government has taken notice of his social media posts: ‘Changes must be made…or else.’

Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he has received government notices regarding some of his social media posts and has been instructed to make changes. If he does not follow the instructions, the veteran actor claims that these posts will be deleted.

On May 11, Amitabh posted a cryptic blog to his Tumblr account. In his blog, he discussed new government guidelines that prohibit people with a large number of followers on social media from promoting something without a disclaimer.

“There are strict rules and regulations now by the GOI (Government of India) and the ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) guidelines, who have now given ruling that Influencers – a new terminology for them that put up product pictures with a mention or product pictures, to state that they are the sponsors, promotors, etc., or in partnership,” he wrote.

He added, “Otherwise, it will become illegal. As a result, several of my posts have received notices that the change is required… else…ya..!! Isn’t it a hard life? And all of the ‘biggies’ that are buying out the ‘biggies’ of social media base their incentives, increases, and other measures on numbers – because that is what brings them the revenue…”

Trolling, according to Amitabh, is an asset in such situations because it encourages debate and keeps the topic alive, thereby increasing numbers. “The more you abuse me, the more you criticise me, the more I shall rise!!- Famous words of a great businessman who rewrote success history in this country’s corporate world and enacted by Bhaiyu in film,” he wrote. Bhaiyu is Amitabh Bachchan’s nickname for his son Abhishek Bachchan, who in the 2007 film Guru played an unconfirmed role inspired by Dhirubhai Ambani.

On his Instagram account, Amitabh also posted about the new guidelines, writing alongside a photo of himself, “cropped, adjusted in keeping with the new laws of the ASCI…But soon the actuals shall be about, telling the tale of the pic.”

Amitabh also recently deleted a post about Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Dhaakad. The veteran actor had posted a teaser of Dhaakad’s She’s on Fire on his Instagram account with the caption ‘all good wishes,’ but it was quickly deleted without explanation after a few minutes.

In an interview with Tried & Refused Productions, Kangana had responded, saying, “They’re all trying to hide their personal insecurities behind the excuse that “Oh, we’ll be boycotted from the industry.” That isn’t it, in my opinion. Of course, there are likes and dislikes, but Mr Bachchan tweeted the trailer and then deleted it within five to ten minutes. Whose pressure will he feel from someone of his stature? I’m not sure; I find this situation to be somewhat complicated. They have their own personal belongings, as well as industry-related items.” Dhaakad will be released in theatres on May 20 and stars Saswata Chatterjee, Arjun Rampal, and Divya Dutta.

Sonakshi Sinha admits on The Great Indian Kapil Show that, when given Alia and Kiara’s example, “mujhe zor se shaadi karni hai.”

Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal—the cast of Heeramandi—will be the show’s guests.

The female cast of Heeramandi, Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh will be featured in an upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. In a new trailer for the episode that Netflix India unveiled on Wednesday, Kapil was seen making fun of Sonakshi’s wedding preparations.

The Heeramandi cast was seen in the teaser queue for panipuri at the stand, where Kapil was the vendor. “Bhaiya, sab ke liye paanipuri (serve for everyone)!” Sonakshi begs. In response, Kapil states that none of them would be served since they are not the ones who will call him “brother” or “bhaiya.”

Richa required the most retakes overall.

Manisha Koirala claims in another scene that there was anxiety before every scene on the set. The cast is then questioned by Richa about how many retakes they had ever had. Sonakshi responds that she didn’t need more than 12 tries. Everyone is shocked to learn that Richa offered 99 retakes in her response. Kiku Sharda made an appearance in one episode dressed like a courtesan, and his antics made everyone laugh.

As this is happening, Kapil informs Sonakshi that Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani are now wed. “Jale pe namak chirak rahe ho,” is her response. He knows how much I want to be married, therefore you are adding salt to my wounds, woh janta hei mujhe kitne zor se shaadi karni he.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the director of Heeramandi, which debuted on Netflix on May 1. The show tells the tales of courtesans and their clients against the turbulent backdrop of the 1940s Indian freedom movement, exploring the cultural milieu of the vibrant Heeramandi region.
