Janhvi Kapoor shares a throwback photo of Sridevi from the 1990s and remembers her: “Every day I miss you more and more,”

Janhvi Kapoor posted a photo on Instagram with the late actor Sridevi on the occasion of her 59th birthday. Sridevi can be seen cuddling up to a young Janhvi in the picture as they pose for it. Just a few months before Janhvi Kapoor’s debut movie Dhadak was released in 2018, Sridevi passed away.

Happy birthday, Mumma,” Janhvi captioned a photo she posted on Saturday. Every day, I miss you more and more. I will always love you. In the post’s comments section, Manish Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and Zoya Akhtar all used heart emojis. “May God bless her soul every sec,” said one fan. She will always be by your side, and I’m sure she’s proud of you, said another.

In 1996, Sridevi got married to movie producer Boney Kapoor. On March 6, 1997, just a few days after the premiere of her movie Judaai, they welcomed Janhvi. In 2000, Khushi Kapoor, their daughter, was born.

Sridevi expressed her opposition to Janhvi’s career in film in an interview with Mid-Day in 2017. She stated: “Initially, I wasn’t in favour of Janhvi’s (Janhvi) desire to participate in the movie. It’s not a bad industry, in my opinion. I am a product of this universe. But seeing her get married would make me happier as a parent. However, her happiness is more important, and if she succeeds in her acting career, I will be a proud mother.”

On August 13, 1963, Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, the future Sridevi, was born. She was well-known for her iconic performances in a number of movies, including Chandni, Lamhe, Tohfa, Mr. India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Judaai, and Nagina. Her final movie, Mom, also earned her a posthumous National Film Award for Best Actress. On February 24, 2018, she passed away in Dubai.

Kangana Ranaut compares herself to Big B, saying, “After Amitabh Bachchan, if someone has received so much love…,” to which internet users respond, “best joke.”

Even though Kangana Ranaut has been receiving a lot of attention for her public talks, her comparison of herself to Amitabh Bachchan at a recent speech at an election rally has generated a lot of controversy online.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is well-known for her blunt remarks, is presently engaged in the Lok Sabha election campaign. She is a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Himachal Pradesh district of Mandi. Although her statements in public have garnered a lot of attention, her comparison of herself to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan in a recent speech at an electoral rally has sparked a lot of conversation online.

“Aisa lagta hai ki mano itna pyaar aur itna sammaan, ki wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mai West Bengal chali jau, chahe mai Delhi chali jau, chahe mai Manipur chali jau, sara desh hairaan hai… Meher daave se keh sakti hu ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisiko industri me milta hai to wo mujhe milta hai (The entire country is startled… there seems to be so much love and respect everywhere I go, whether it Rajasthan, West Bengal, Delhi, or Manipur). At the gathering, she declared, “I can state with confidence that, after Amitabh Bachchan, if anyone receives such love and respect in the industry, it is me.

Since then, the video of her statement has gone viral and sparked a range of emotions from online users. Despite her recent run of box office disappointments, many people have expressed sarcasm over her comparison to one of Bollywood’s most beloved legends. After releasing her final successful movie in 2015, Kangana has a string of 15 consecutive failures. As it shared the video on X (previously Twitter), a verified parody account said, “Here she is comparing herself to Amitabh Bachchan 😂😂.”

Another Twitterati said, “Judging by her speeches, Kangana Ranaut might be the first actress in the nation to get a national award for her role as an election candidate.”

It was called the “best joke of the year” by one user and the “peak level of self-obsession” by another.

“The next stage of self-obsession is this.” Following a string of poor performances, Kangana Ranaut equated herself to Amitabh Bachchan. According to a verified X account that supports the Congress, “Nobody has ever insulted Amit Ji like this before.”

In response, another Twitter user sent a photo of the headline of an old news story detailing Kangana’s 2022 action film Dhaakad’s poor box office performance—which ended up being a huge failure. The headline stated, “Dhaakad box office collection: Kangana Ranaut’s film sells 20 tickets and collects Rs 4420 on day 8.”

The seventh and final round of the current general elections is set to take place on June 1, with elections for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. Ram Swaroop Sharma of the BJP won the seat in 2019, however it was left empty after his death in 2021. Pratibha Singh of the Congress won the seat back in the ensuing by-election later that year.
