Why Vijay Deverakonda won’t collaborate with a first-time filmmaker is revealed: “I need them to be prepared to take advantage of me.”
Vijay Deverakonda is set to star in his upcoming film, Family Star, alongside Mrunal Thakur for the first time.
Vijay Deverakonda, in an interview with Indiaglitz, expressed his disinterest in working with first-time directors and urged directors to “warm up” before casting him in the lead role of his upcoming film, Family Star.
What Vijay said
Vijay stated that he doesn’t work with debutants now, as they need to be one film old to handle the pressures of budget and scale on the set. He believes that having a one-film experience helps them get into the groove and prepares them for the rest of the project.
Vijay, a film producer, emphasizes the importance of observing a director’s music, edit, and visual storytelling before signing a project. He prefers directors who are fully prepared to exploit him, and even those with a successful film history, he is open to working with anyone, regardless of their previous film experience.
More details
Vijay is set to star in Parasuram Petla’s Family Star, with Divyansha Kaushik and Rashmika Mandanna in cameos, set to release on April 5. He also has a period action film with Gowtam Tinnanuri in the pipeline.
Vijay’s previous releases, World Famous Lover and Liger, received mixed reviews from fans. However, his latest film, Kushi, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, received positive reviews and performed well at the box office.
