After receiving three slaps while filming Mawaali, Shakti Kapoor recalls feeling like giving up acting. “I stumbled to the ground,” Kapoor said in an interview. “I was in so much pain.” The actor, who is known for his comic roles, said that he felt like he “couldn’t take it anymore” after the third slap. “I thought, ‘This is it. I’m done.’”

Luckily, Kapoor was able to pull himself together and finish the scene. “It was a big moment in the film, and I knew I had to get it right,” he said. “So I got up, and I did it.”

The actor said that he was “blown away” by the response to the scene when the film was released. “People loved it,” he said. “They said it was one of the most realistic scenes in the film.”

Kapoor said that he was proud of himself for finishing the scene, and that it was a good lesson for him. “I learned that no matter how tough it gets, you have to push through,” he said. “It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it.”

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
