Ambuja Cement commences production at its Marwar plant

Ambuja Cements has started producing clinker and cement at its new Marwar Cement Works (Marwar Cement Works) located in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan. The trial operation of the new plant was actually opened by Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The newly built integrated plant invested 2,350 crore to increase Ambuja’s clinker production capacity by 3 metric tons/year and cement sales by 5 metric tons/year, thus contributing to the company’s long-term capacity expansion strategy. The plant uses all modern equipment and technologies to produce cement in a more environmentally friendly way. It has a waste heat recovery system (WHRS) that converts the waste heat generated in the production process into energy. Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director and CEO of Ambuja Cement, said: “Ambuja has an ambitious growth plan to expand its production capacity in India, and the Marwar plant is a step in this direction. We are very proud that it is a one. Planting’green plants’ aims to satisfy our ambitions for a sustainable future.” Marwar Cement Works is Holcim Group’s third factory in Rajasthan, after Rabariwas and Lakheri.

The Adani Enterprises unit has received a letter of approval for an NH project in Maharashtra

Adani Road Transport Ltd (ARTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has received LoA for a project involving six laning of Kagal-Satara section of NH-48 (old NH4) in Maharashtra. The project will be executed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana at ₹2,008.47 crores. The construction period for the 67-km long road project is expected to be 2 years from the date of appointment and the concession period will be 18 years.

With this project award, Adani’s road portfolio will have total 14 projects with more than 5,000 lane km with asset value exceeding ₹41,000 crore spread across India.
