Amitabh Bachchan reveals why his father named their house ‘Pratiksha’
According to Amitabh Bachchan, his home’s name, Pratiksha, was given by his father, the eminent author and poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. On his game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, the actor was speaking. The popular quiz show’s fourteenth season is presently being hosted by him.
Amitabh discovered that the contender was accompanied by his sister Pratiksha when presenting him. “Pratiksha is a very wonderful name,” the actor continued. Even his father gave their home the name Pratiksha, he continued. “When people ask me why I kept my family name, Pratiksha, I tell them that my father chose it, not me. I asked my father, “Why did you keep the name Pratiksha?” since he had a poem that contains the line, “swagat sabke liye hain par nahi hain kisi ke liye Pratiksha (It is welcome for all, but wait for none)’.”
Amitabh has posted a blog entry regarding his work on KBC 14. He added, “The aim is to advertise the game and to draw in wider audiences. And the commercial was shot within premises… the most complicated being the control room of KBC with its multifarious gadgetry… demands really hard work to deliver the show to you and even more magic of electronics.”
Amitabh Bachchan most recently appeared in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, a movie that has been performing well at the box office. The lead actors in the movie are Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Mouni Roy. Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan are also present. Despite mixed reviews, the movie managed to bring in the most money globally for its debut weekend.
