Apple’s 2022 product lineup will reportedly include new Mac Pros, a VR headset, redesigned MacBook Air, and more
2021 is an eventful year for Apple. The company has released many defined categories of products, including the M1-powered iPad Pro, the new iPad mini, the new MacBook Pro series, the iPhone 13 series, and more. It seems that 2022 will be even more exciting for Apple fans, because the Cupertino giant has several promising products under development, including the new Mac Pro, redesigned MacBook Air, VR headsets, etc. . According to reliable Apple Twitter Mark Gullman (via Bloomberg), Apple is developing some new Mac Pro models equipped with the new M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, which made their debut in the MacBook Pro product line last year. The lineup includes a smaller Mac Pro with up to 40 CPU cores and 128 GPU cores, a large-screen iMac Pro and a new Mac mini. Apple is said to complete the transition from Intel to its own silicone as early as June.
Next, the report talked about “the largest MacBook Air redesign in product history”, the updated entry-level MacBook Pro and the redesigned iPad Pro that supports wireless charging. Previous reports said that the 2022 MacBook Air will be equipped with a white keyboard, more ports, and provide a variety of color options similar to the M1-driven iMac.
In terms of smartphones, Gulman believes that Apple will launch the 5G version of the iPhone SE in the first half of this year, and the new iPhone 14 series will be available in the fall as usual. Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.
The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.
Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.
It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
