Ben Affleck stays away from Jennifer Lopez’s solo flight at Netflix’s Atlas Premiere, with all eyes on the wedding ring.
Don’t worry about the premiere! Not for the sci-fi extravaganza or the expensive outfit, Jennifer Lopez was the centre of attention on the Atlas red carpet last night. Despite rumours that her marriage to Ben Affleck may be in jeopardy, JLo looked amazing and exuded boss lady charm. But Affleck had vanished from sight. The Gone Girl actress missing her movie premiere in addition to her big Met Gala attendance, which fueled suspicions of her breakup.

At the science fiction gala launch on May 20 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, the singer made a statement. The actress showed off her wedding band to the photographers and smiled for the cameras, proving that even though there have been several reports claiming they split up, the rumours are still just that—rumors. The Netflix movie’s director, Brad Peyton, stood with co-stars Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown, while the Jenny from the Block singer looked fierce in monochromatic hues.
“Has come to his senses,” says Ben Affleck.
According to a previous PageSix article, Ben Affleck is having second thoughts about his marriage. Ben Affleck was not present at the Met Gala 2024, when his wife Lopez co-chaired the event with celebrities including Bad Bunny and Zendaya. The duo, who married in 2022 after reigniting their romance ten years earlier, has caused quite a stir in the entertainment industry due to rumours about their separation and marital discord. An earlier report from a source to the entertainment magazine stated, “He would file for divorce on the grounds of temporary insanity.” They continued, saying, “He feels like the last two years were just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses, realising this is not going to work.”
Date of Atlas’s release
Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong are set to play prominent roles in the upcoming American sci-fi series Atlas, which is set to premiere on May 24th in collaboration with Netflix. The show, which is helmed by Brad Peyton of Rampage, centres on Atlas Shepherd, a data analyst who is dubious about artificial intelligence. Representing herself as an intelligent but misanthropic technologist, she embarks on a quest to apprehend a renegade robot with whom she has an enigmatic past. However, she is forced to trust the process when things go wrong in order to save humanity.

HBO defends JK Rowling’s involvement in Harry Potter series despite problematic stance on transgender community
JK Rowling, whose Harry Potter book franchise gave Warner Bros a blockbuster film franchise, is also associated with its upcoming HBO series.
JK Rowling has remained decidedly steadfast on her controversial stance on the transgender community. In a statement to Variety, HBO explained why the author is still involved in its upcoming series on Harry Potter despite her problematic gender politics. What HBO said
“We are proud to once again tell the story of Harry Potter — the heartwarming books that speak to power of friendship, resolve and acceptance. JK Rowling has a right to express her personal views. We will remain focused on the development of the new series, which will only benefit from her involvement,” HBO’s statement stated.
It also added that its parent company Warner Bros “been working with JK Rowling and in the Harry Potter business for over 20 years” and “her contribution has been invaluable.” The report also states that HBO chief Casey Bloys informed the media at an event on November 12 that JK Rowling was “very, very involved in the process selecting the writer and the director,” and her anti-trans statements “haven’t affected the casting or hiring of writers or productions staff.”
A couple of days before that, Rowling had shared a screenshot of a tweet by an X user who wrote, “My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined” when the author had revealed that she’s “very involved” in the Harry Potter series. Rowling wrote along with the screenshot, “I’ve only just seen this response to me saying I’m very involved in the Harry Potter TV show and I think I’ve pulled something laughing.”
About Harry Potter series
Warner Bros launched an open casting call for the leads Harry, Hermoine and Ron, who were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, respectively, in the eight-part movie franchise.
The series will most likely go ahead with newcomers for the top three characters and mix it with veterans for the adult cast, like the movie franchise, which featured Richard Harris as Dumbledore and roped in Michael Gambon after his death. Late star Maggie Smith played Professor McGonagall, and Alan Rickman starred as Professor Snape.
Mark Rylance, 64, who won an Academy Award for best supporting actor in 2016 for his work in Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies, is reportedly at the top of the casting wishlist to play Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series.
