Punjab police refused to rule out a terror connection in the rocket-propelled grenade attack on their headquarters in Mohali yesterday. The blast follows the receipt of two letters, one of which is said to be from a commander of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Attacks on railway stations, bridges, places of worship, and other key installations, as well as VIPs, were warned in the letters.

The incident comes just weeks after an explosive device was discovered at the Burail jail in Chandigarh.
