Dalai Lama contributes to PM-CARES Fund to strengthen India’s fight against Covid-19
The outbreak of Corona epidemic in India is speaking head-on these days. The pace of Corona has shaken the country. In the daily cases of infection, India has broken the whole world.
In such a situation, all the countries have come forward to help India, the Tibetan spiritual guru Dalai Lama on Tuesday announced to contribute to the PM-Cares Fund, showing solidarity towards all his Indian siblings in the midst of the corona epidemic.
The Dalai Lama has said in a statement, “I am aware and also worried about the challenges facing the entire world including India due to the Covid-19 epidemic.” He further said, “In this difficult period of increasing cases of coronavirus, I have asked the Dalai Lama Trust to donate to the PM-Cares Fund, showing solidarity towards all my Indian siblings.” He then says, “This is an opportunity for me to appreciate all the efforts that are being made to deal with this devastating epidemic, especially those working on the frontline.” I pray that this epidemic ends soon.”
India is struggling with Corona infection these days. The situation here is getting frightful day by day. The total number of positive cases in the country in the last 24 hours after the arrival of 3,23,144 new cases of Covid, was 1,76,36,307. After 2771 new deaths, the total number of deaths has increased to 1,97,894. The total number of active cases in the country is 28,82,204 and the total number of discharged cases is 1,45,56,209.
