Dinesh Karthik, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, has called for Rishabh Pant to be given more responsibility in the Indian team. Karthik believes that Pant has the potential to become India’s next Virat Kohli and finish games for the team.

“I think he’s (Pant) a man on a mission. I really hope that he gets more responsibility in the team and is given the opportunity to go out there and express himself,” Karthik said in an interview with India Today.

“I think he has the potential to be our next Virat Kohli. He has the ability to take the game deep and finish it off for us. I really hope he gets more opportunities to do that,” he added.

Karthik also spoke about the need for more communication between the players and the coaching staff in order to get the best out of the team.

“I think communication is key. We need to have more open communication between the players and the coaching staff. I think that’s something that we can definitely improve on,” he said.
