Fans are urged not to blame Bollywood for pay equality by Taapsee Pannu

The actor also responded to a question on the success of her films–Badla and Pink which minted good numbers. She called it ‘eventual numbers’ revealing that the films started off ‘very average’. Taapsee added that ‘to have a big opener film, it has to be associated with a big hero presence’. She also added ‘a big filmmaker backing’ a movie is another criteria for a big opener

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Taapsee said, “Pay parity is not about producers not wanting to give money. So, stop blaming the industry only for this problem. It starts from the level where there are not many footfalls when it comes to female-driven film. When it comes to a female-driven film, people wait for reviews more than advance bookings. When it comes to a male-driven film, the advance bookings are so high that the footfalls are collected within the first weekend itself, i.e. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.”

“For a female-driven film, we have to wait for a Monday because by then, there is ample word of mouth and reviews which give us a brief idea about the film. We have to undergo the review test whereas many male-driven films end up opening big without any of these. So audiences too will have to contribute to this change, that’s when we can bring about the change we desire to see,” she also added.

Taapsee has several films in the pipeline including Anurag Kashyap’s Dobaaraa with Pavail Gulati. It is the official Hindi adaption of Oriol Paulo’s 2018 Spanish-language film Mirage.

Fahadh Faasil says he doesn’t see himself as a pan-India celebrity and refers to Ranbir Kapoor as the “best actor in the country.”

According to Fahadh Faasil, he is in regular contact with pals from the Hindi film business. He also disclosed his intentions to direct a Hindi movie.

In a recent interview, Fahadh Faasil discussed his experience working in Hindi films.

Fahadh Faasil finds Ranbir Kapoor’s performances to be impressive. Ranbir was dubbed the “best actor in the country” by Fahadh in a recent interview with Film Companion. In addition, Fahadh discussed his feelings on being called a pan-Indian celebrity, stating that he is merely an actor who wants to work in films that he enjoys.

What Fahadh mentioned

When questioned about the influence of his films and his reputation as an actor, Fahadh responded in the interview, “I have to be honest. I don’t have to hide anything.” Here, I’m working on my stuff. With no offence intended. People don’t seem to anticipate magic from Pushpa or from me. It’s an act of true love and cooperation for Suku [Sukumar] Sir. This is where my stuff is. Quite evidently. I don’t get it because, along with many of my friends here, I think Vicky Kaushal is the best discovery of the decade. Among the best actors India has ever produced is Rajkummar Rao. I mean, Ranbir Kapoor is the finest actor in the nation. I’m not sure what people perceive in me, then.

Concerning one’s status as a pan-Indian celebrity

Fahadh also discussed his opinions on being viewed as a pan-Indian celebrity. “No, I’m just an actor,” he continued. I’m not involved with pan-Indian affairs. I simply go about my business. because I act on my convictions, because the notion is that films never make money. That’s just a side note. However, I am unable to complete the films I work on here anyplace else. In addition, he mentioned that he is excited to see what the public will learn from the movie and that he wants to talk to them when it is out.

Fahadh lately received a lot of praise for his role in Aavesham. The film, which was directed by Jithu Madhavan, centres on a traditional fish-out-of-water situation in which three college students become involved in unforeseen events. In the movie, Fahadh portrays an eccentric don who lives in Bengaluru. The Rule, Pushpa 2, will be his next film to be viewed.

Ranbir, meantime, was last seen in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which ended up becoming one of his biggest hits to date. He and Sai Pallavi will soon be seen together in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Actors’ on-set photos recently surfaced online and quickly gained popularity. He is also working on Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
