Following Satish Kaushik’s passing, Javed Akhtar stated, “I’m sure his company would have reached a worth of $150–200 crore in 2-3 years.”
Satish Kaushik’s company could have done well. Satish Kaushik was a late actor-filmmaker who died in March this year. An event was organised in his honour, where veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar remembered him and spoke about the potential worth of a company he set up if he were alive. Anil Kapoor, Neena Gupta and other celebrities attended an event in Mumbai to remember Satish Kaushik, recalling fond memories of the late actor-director.
Satish was a serious and sensitive person with a sense of humour, but unfortunately his story did not get completed. He had gained major support from Lucknow and if he had continued for two-three years more, his company could have reached a worth of 150-200 crore. Javed reportedly mentioned Satish Kaushik Entertainment LLP and Anupam Kher’s film production company, Karol Bagh Productions. Satish Kaushik was a famous filmmaker known for his roles in films such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Mr and Mrs Khiladi, Tere Naam, and Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.

About Family Star
Parasuram Petla’s Family Star marks Vijay and Mrunal’s first collaboration, featuring a cast including Abhinaya, Vasuki, Rohini Hattangadi, Ravi Babu, and Divyansha Kaushik’s special appearance.
Govardhan Rao, the youngest brother of Vijay, manages his family’s finances while being cautious. However, when Mrunal’s Indu rents a part of his home, his life changes.
Family Star review
The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.
The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
