Actor Hailee Steinfeld marries Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen in dreamy ceremony

In a dreamlike wedding, actor Hailee Steinfeld weds Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Several media outlets reported that actor Hailee Steinfeld and quarterback Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills were married on Saturday. Images from the wedding of the power couple, which was held in Southern California, where Allen and Steinfeld both reside, surfaced. Pictures that People magazine was able to procure show Steinfeld coming down the aisle in a white strapless dress and the pair kissing.

Although the date and time of the wedding were kept under wraps, Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins gave away the information in March by declaring it to be May 31. Later on, he changed his mind and claimed to be ignorant.

Allen attended the opening of the Bills’ optional spring practice series on Tuesday, despite the impending wedding. Although Allen won’t speak to the media until the Bills begin their required practices on June 10, the team will resume practice on Monday.

The quarterback proposed on a California cliff with a view of the Pacific Ocean during the Bills bye week in November, and Allen, who turned 29 last week, and Steinfeld, 28, were engaged.

When they were spotted dining together in New York City in the spring of 2023, the two were initially connected. Since then, Steinfeld has started going to Bills home games, and the two were unable to be separated during the NFL Awards in February, when Allen gave Steinfeld credit for accepting the league’s MVP award.

Steinfeld started performing when she was ten years old, and her portrayal of Mattie Ross in the Coen brothers’ 2010 adaptation of “True Grit” won her an Oscar nod for best supporting actress. Allen’s eighth NFL season is about to begin. He agreed to a $330 million contract extension in March.

Hollywood Meets the Gridiron: Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen’s Dreamy Wedding in California
In a heartwarming fusion of Hollywood glamor and NFL prestige, actor-singer Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony on May 31, 2025. Set against the backdrop of a sun-kissed private estate in California’s Napa Valley, the ceremony blended understated elegance with deeply personal touches that reflected the couple’s unique bond.

The couple, who had sparked dating rumors back in spring 2023, confirmed their romance in July 2024 via a cozy Instagram post that quickly went viral. Since then, fans have followed their love story with keen interest—from red carpet appearances to romantic getaways, culminating in Josh’s seaside proposal in Malibu last November. The engagement was kept relatively private, with only a handful of close friends in attendance—until Steinfeld shared a radiant black-and-white photo of her ring a few days later, confirming the news.

Their wedding, while intimate, was nothing short of magical. Steinfeld, known for her bold fashion choices and red-carpet poise, looked ethereal in a strapless white gown designed by Elie Saab. The dress featured a corseted bodice and voluminous skirt, paired with a floor-length tulle veil and delicate sheer opera gloves. Her hair was styled into a sleek low bun, emphasizing the elegance of her diamond stud earrings and soft, glowing makeup.

Josh Allen was every bit the dashing groom in a classic black tuxedo by Tom Ford, with a boutonnière crafted from white roses to match the ceremony’s floral arrangements. He appeared visibly emotional as Hailee walked down the aisle to a live string quartet’s rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” escorted by her father.

The ceremony took place under a minimalist white canopy adorned with hundreds of white roses and orchids. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and golden Californian hills, the garden was transformed into a dreamy, romantic haven. Roughly 120 guests were in attendance, including family, close friends, a few of Allen’s Buffalo Bills teammates, and notable celebrities like Taylor Swift, who is a close friend of Steinfeld, and Larry David, who added a touch of humor to the reception.

The couple exchanged handwritten vows, which brought tears to many of the guests. Steinfeld’s vows were poetic and emotional, speaking about finding love in unexpected places, while Allen’s words reflected strength, loyalty, and his admiration for Hailee’s ambition and heart. The couple sealed their vows with a kiss to thunderous applause—and the soft rustle of rose petals falling from overhead arrangements.

The reception was held in an open-air vineyard pavilion lit by strings of Edison bulbs and flickering candlelight. Tables were adorned with white hydrangeas, peonies, and eucalyptus garlands, and each guest received a handwritten note from the bride and groom thanking them for being part of their journey.

Dinner featured a gourmet California-inspired menu with vegan and gluten-free options, including truffle risotto, grilled sea bass, and mini Wagyu sliders. The dessert table was a sweet-lover’s dream, highlighted by a five-tier vanilla and raspberry wedding cake designed by a Beverly Hills patisserie. Guests were also treated to a gelato cart and mini s’mores stations by a fire pit.
