Leaked Realme 9 Pro specs show a potent Redmi Note 10 rival

While most smartphone enthusiasts in the West seem to be following the brand competition between giants like Samsung and Apple, what they don’t know is that Chinese smartphone brands Redmi and Realme have been making similar moves for dominance in the affordable market. battle. For smartphone enthusiasts from China, India and the rest of Asia, the battle is as exciting and as famous as the Apple-Samsung rivalry.

This rivalry is best illustrated by the heads-up game where Redmi and Realme have been using their Redmi Note and Realme series against each other. Currently in its 11th generation, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11 series launched in China a few months ago and is expected to launch globally later this month. Not to be left behind, the Realme 9 series, Realme’s answer to the Redmi Note lineup, could also launch in the coming weeks – we know that thanks to a spate of recent leaks. Realme’s success or failure
The Realme 9 series are particularly important devices in Realme’s 2022 portfolio. Its predecessor, the Realme 8 series, lacked the teeth (and hardware specs) to rival last year’s Redmi Note 10 series. The latter is known for single-handedly launching AMOLED panels and high refresh rate displays at ridiculously affordable prices, surprising even the usually competitive Realme in the process. This time, since Redmi has already launched the Note 11 lineup in China, realme has a late-mover advantage, and the realme 9 lineup seems to be a stronger challenger to the evenly matched Redmi Note 11. Thanks to the good folks on Smartprix who worked with Onleaks to reveal the key specs of the Realme 9 series, we know the series will have two variants called Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+. In addition, the company may also launch a vanilla model – the Realme 9 – in a few months, but we don’t have any information about the device yet.

The Realme 9 will get the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset from Qualcomm and will be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM options. Internal storage will reach 128GB. It’s unclear if the phone will feature a microSD card slot.

We also know that the Realme 9 Pro will feature a 6.59-inch display (probably an LCD) that will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. To allay concerns about the lower battery capacity of Realme phones compared to Redmi-branded rivals, the Realme 9 Pro also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33-watt fast charging.

The camera setup reportedly consists of a triple-camera array with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8MP secondary camera (likely an ultra-wide), and a 2MP depth or macro sensor.
