In the late ’80s, he would be signed to play Bhim in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat, which would immortalize him in the eyes of audiences. In 2013, Pravin tried to enter politics and ran for parliamentary elections with the Aam Aadmi party vote in Delhi’s Wazirpur constituency, but lost.
