Millions of users flock to Signal and Telegram after Facebook outage

During the long-term downtime of Facebook Inc.’s application and service network, the downloads and user registrations of the two private messenger applications Signal and Telegram soared. It said on Twitter that millions of new users joined the signal recognized by Edward Snowden on Monday.

Telegram’s functions are very similar to those of WhatsApp, soaring 55 places, ranking first in the United States. According to Sensor Tower’s data, S. iPhone downloads the chart. Facebook’s main social network and photo-sharing application Instagram’s WhatsApp Messenger suffered a six-hour outage, causing many of its 2.7 billion global users to be turned away.

This situation left some of the company’s employees doing nothing and prompted CEO Mark Zuckerberg to apologize publicly. Facebook’s losses became the gains of other social media. Twitter Inc.’s network remains online, and CEO Jack Dorsey has supported Signal on Twitter as a suitable WhatsApp alternative and magnified Snowden’s urging of his followers to stay away from Facebook-owned apps The sound of the program.

A spokeswoman for the service said that thousands of rooms on the voice chat application Clubhouse had people talking about power outages, adding that all of its major indicators had risen.
