2 pm: The mob attacked the Assam Rifles camp in Mon town, setting fire to two cars and a shed. A civilian was killed after security personnel opened fire.

4 pm: Monday town imposes a curfew and ban, and Internet services are suspended indefinitely.

6 pm: Murders registered against unidentified military personnel and local residents.

The National Security and Cyber ​​Council (IM), which is currently negotiating with the center on political issues in Naga, condemned the killing of civilians by security forces and said it was a “black day” for the people of Naga.

Federal Minister of the Interior Amit Shah expressed regret over the incident and stated that the national investigation will “ensure justice for families who have lost their loved ones”.

Mon District is about 350 kilometers away from Kohimaa, the capital of Nagaland.
