Prez begins 3-day visit to Bangladesh to attend 50th Victory Day celebrations

President Ram Nath Kovind (Ram Nath Kovind) began a three-day state visit to Bangladesh on Wednesday to participate in the 50th Victory Day celebration in Dhaka.

“From Wednesday, President Kovind will pay a state visit to Bangladesh. This visit will take place from December 15th to 17th. This visit is carried out in the context of Dhaka’s celebration of the 50th Victory Day. The President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid, has invited President Kovind to represent India as the guest of honor,” Foreign Minister Harsh Vardhan Shringla said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“Starting from Wednesday, President Kovind will pay a state visit to Bangladesh. This visit will take place from December 15th to 17th. The President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid, has invited President Kovind to represent India as the guest of honor,” Foreign Minister Harsh Vardhan Shringla said at a press conference on Tuesday.

This is President Kovind’s first visit to Bangladesh since the outbreak of Covid-19.

“Bangladesh invited our president as the guest of honor at this event. He is the only foreign politician who will send a representative to attend. At the same time, our president is also out for the first time since the new crown virus pandemic. Very important,” Shringla said.

Shringla emphasized that the president’s visit provided an opportunity to renew India’s ties with Dhaka, stating that this relationship was based on the common geographic space, heritage, history and common experience that New Delhi supported Bangladesh during the Liberation War.

“This is also an opportunity to focus on the breadth, depth, vitality and vitality of contemporary relationships,” Shringla added.

During the visit, the President will hold a delegation-level meeting with Hamid. At the same time, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Momin planned to visit the president, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release earlier.

Actor Saif Ali Khan’s house in Bandra, Mumbai was a target for an attempted robbery during the early hours of Thursday morning. The actor was stabbed during the incident and had to urgently be taken to Lilavati hospital and undergo surgery. Now, we have received more updates on it.

We have learnt from sources at the hospital that one of the injuries was quite deep and the actor has received 10 stitches for this stab. The source says, “Fortunately, it has not affected the spine. He was very lucky that the stabs have not affected any of his vital organs. It appears to have been attacked by a knife and he was actually thwarting a robbery attempt.”

The source adds, “Of the six injuries that Saif has suffered, two injuries are deep, two are mid and two are superficial.”

Coincidentally, at the reported time of the robbery, Saif’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan has put up an Insta story of a girls night in with her friends Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, and sister Karisma Kapoor. As per recent reports, three suspects have been detained by the Bandra Police in the case.
