President Ram Nath Kovind (Ram Nath Kovind) began a three-day state visit to Bangladesh on Wednesday to participate in the 50th Victory Day celebration in Dhaka.

“From Wednesday, President Kovind will pay a state visit to Bangladesh. This visit will take place from December 15th to 17th. The President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid, has invited President Kovind to represent India as the guest of honor,” Foreign Minister Harsh Vardhan Shringla said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Shringla emphasized that the president’s visit provided an opportunity to renew India’s ties with Dhaka, stating that this relationship was based on the common geographic space, heritage, history and common experience that New Delhi supported Bangladesh during the Liberation War.

“This is also an opportunity to focus on the breadth, depth, vitality and vitality of contemporary relationships,” Shringla added.

During the visit, the President will hold a delegation-level meeting with Hamid. At the same time, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Momin planned to visit the president, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release earlier.
