Pune-Nashik semi-high speed railway project gets government nod

The Government of India has approved the much awaited Pune-Nashik Semi High Speed ​​Railway project in Maharashtra.

Bhujbal told the media that the project would be completed in three-and-a-half years including land acquisition and the train would run at a speed of 200 kmph. This project will not only help in the development of the three districts, but will also facilitate the transportation of agricultural produce.

He said that for this project, 1300 hectares of land in 101 villages of these three districts would be acquired by paying proper compensation to the farmers whose land would be acquired for the project.

Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MRIDC), a similar joint venture between the state and the Railways, will execute the project.

The project is estimated to cost Rs 16,039 crore. The corridor will be 235 km long, with passenger trains traveling at a top speed of 200 kmph and freight trains traveling at a top speed of 100 kmph.

The route will have 24 stations, 18 tunnels and 19 bridges. It will be ready in 2024.

The Adani Enterprises unit has received a letter of approval for an NH project in Maharashtra

Adani Road Transport Ltd (ARTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has received LoA for a project involving six laning of Kagal-Satara section of NH-48 (old NH4) in Maharashtra. The project will be executed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana at ₹2,008.47 crores. The construction period for the 67-km long road project is expected to be 2 years from the date of appointment and the concession period will be 18 years.

With this project award, Adani’s road portfolio will have total 14 projects with more than 5,000 lane km with asset value exceeding ₹41,000 crore spread across India.
