Rajpath Infracon creates a record by constructing 39.69 km Road in 24 hrs

On May 31, 2021, Pune-based private company Rajpath Infracon created a world record by building 39,691 km of paved road in 24 hours.

This record was achieved with the help of the Maharashtra State Government Public Works Department (PWD) at Pusegaon-Mhasurne Road, Satara District, Maharashtra.

To celebrate this great success, the Builders Association of India (All India Civil Engineering Construction Contractors and Builders Association) in association with BAI, Pune Center hosted a virtual meeting on June 26.

The entire project was completed in three shifts and at six locations, fifteen civil engineers from PWD, sixty civil engineers from Rajpath Infracon, forty-seven supervisors, twenty-three quality control engineers, 150 drivers, 110 workers, etc. were hired.

Some of the main delegated machines were: eight modern hot mix plants, seven pavers with sensors, twelve vibratory rollers, six pneumatic rollers, 180 Hyas, etc. 6000 cubic meters of metal and 1100 metric tons of asphalt were used. One lane of the road was completed with bituminous concrete (BC).

The Adani Enterprises unit has received a letter of approval for an NH project in Maharashtra

Adani Road Transport Ltd (ARTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has received LoA for a project involving six laning of Kagal-Satara section of NH-48 (old NH4) in Maharashtra. The project will be executed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana at ₹2,008.47 crores. The construction period for the 67-km long road project is expected to be 2 years from the date of appointment and the concession period will be 18 years.

With this project award, Adani’s road portfolio will have total 14 projects with more than 5,000 lane km with asset value exceeding ₹41,000 crore spread across India.
