Sajid Khan debates “brother” Shalin Bhanot on Bigg Boss 16 about nominating him.

Bigg Boss’ 16th season is currently in its first week, and the drama has already started. Shiv Thakare and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Manya Singh and Tina Dutta, and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Gautam Vig have all gotten into arguments and fights in the house, respectively. In the most recent, Shalin Bhanot and director Sajid Khan got into a fight.

Sajid Khan expressed his displeasure with Shalin for naming him in the first round of elimination in a new ad shared by Colors TV. The filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan’s younger brother Sajid claimed that Shalin had told him that Farah is like a sister to him as well.

Sajid claimed that he, too, considered Shalin to be his brother and is perplexed as to why the actor chose to nominate him during the first week of Bigg Boss 16.

During a stand-up comedy routine, Sajid Khan roasted Shalin, saying, “After Bigg Boss, Shalin is the voice of this house. Yahan aane se pehle tu mujhe keh raha tha tu Farah ka dusra bhai hai. Toh nomination mujhe kyun kiya. Why did you nominate me if you’re Farah’s second brother, as you claimed when you called me before to the show?” Shalin disapproved of Sajid’s behaviour and gave him the thumbs down.

Later, Sajid confronted the actor about his actions and questioned, “Aaj bhi thumbs down kar raha hai kal bhi mujhe nomination kara. Yes, it is. (You nominated me yesterday and today you also gave me the thumbs down.) What sort of brother are you, exactly)?” Shalin questioned why Sajid was in the Bigg Boss house if he didn’t want to play games with him after he urged him not to.

Social media users are debating Sajid’s presence in Bigg Boss 16 in the meantime. Many people have criticised the channel and the programme for giving Sajid such a chance in spite of the sexual assault claims made against him by numerous women in the entertainment business during the MeToo movement, including singer Sona Mohapatra.

Fans of the show are in for a treat as Netflix announced when Squid Game 3 will premiere on the platform.
After rumours emerged that actor Leonardo DiCaprio will appear in Squid Game 3, Netflix has finally reacted. As per Soompi, Netflix said that the rumours are “completely false”.

Earlier, OSEN reported that Leonardo had allegedly completed a surprise appearance for Squid Game 3. It had also said that the filming was reportedly held under secrecy in 2024. Leonardo’s role was said to be minor, with all character details kept strictly confidential in order to avoid spoilers, as per the report.

What Netflix has said

Now, a representative of Netflix has said, “The rumours are completely false. Reports of Leonardo DiCaprio’s involvement in Squid Game Season 3 are entirely unfounded.”

Squid Game 3 will premier this year

Fans of the show were also in for a surprise as Netflix announced that Squid Game 3 will premiere in 2025. On Wednesday, Netflix announced, as per Soompi, that Squid Game 2 achieved 68 million views in its first week of release. This made it the most-watched first week in Netflix history.

Alongside this announcement, Netflix also unveiled a special teaser poster for season 3 of the show. The poster features Young Hee, the unforgettable icon from the Red Light, Green Light game. It also featured a new robot character Cheol Su, who made a surprise appearance in the post-credits scene of Season 2’s finale.

About Squid Game

Squid Game season two premiered on December 26 last year. It starred Lee Jung-jae and centred around a secret competition in South Korea that target people in debt and the winner get a big cash prize. However, losing the game is deadly. Directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game season one released in 2021.

Speaking with AP recently, Dong-hyuk said that he originally conceived of the show 15 years ago as a two-hour film but it failed to gain traction with financiers or even interested actors. He put it aside and worked on other films instead. He then had the idea to make it a TV series instead and took the project to Netflix. There, it could reach a wide audience. “I never in my wildest dream thought it was going to be this huge,” he had said.
