Samsung Galaxy A33 Among Other Galaxy A-Series Phones Tipped to Get IP67 Water-Resistant Builds in 2022
According to reports, Samsung Galaxy A series smartphone models, including the rumored Galaxy A33, will reportedly receive a waterproof rating in 2022. According to the report, these phones are said to belong to Samsung’s mid- to low-end smartphones, and the company’s goal is to compete with Chinese brands such as Xiaomi and Oppo. Currently, Samsung Galaxy A52, Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52s 5G smartphones provide IP67 water resistance. Samsung provides waterproof ratings for all smartphones in its Galaxy S, Galaxy Note and foldable series.
According to a report by The Elec discovered by 9to5google, the Samsung Galaxy A33 will be the first Galaxy A series mobile phone to receive an IP67 dust and water resistance rating in 2022. According to reports, in addition to the Samsung Galaxy A33, other models including the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A73 5G will also receive an IP67 dust-proof and waterproof rating. According to reports, these phones will be launched sometime in 2022.
There have been various leaks about the Samsung Galaxy A33 in the past. According to a report, Samsung smartphones have been found on Korean certification websites, with a typical battery capacity of 5,000mAh. Renderings of smartphones have also been leaked in the past, and key specifications have also surfaced online. It is expected that this phone will be equipped with four rear cameras.
It is said that the Samsung Galaxy A33 is a 5G smartphone, which may be equipped with a 6.4-inch Infinity-U punch-hole display. It is speculated that this phone is equipped with a Full HD + Super AMOLED panel. There are four rear cameras installed in a rectangular camera module.
The power button and volume keys are located on the left spine of the phone. Samsung Galaxy A33 5G may not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Its dimensions are 159.7x74x8.1mm and the thickness is 9.7mm. The phone is expected to be launched in black and blue in January.
At the same time, The Elec also reported that Samsung plans to adjust the production process of smartphone backplanes next year. According to reports, the South Korean giant will reduce the number of injections and coatings from 2 to 1 in order to reduce production costs.

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.
The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.
Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.
It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
